Food with Attitude!

I made a pork loin that woody cut into thick chops with potatoes and carrots with yeast rolls.

I did make a ho made apple crisp that turned out really good. I took the suggestion in the comments and halved the sugar. I had a 5 lb bag of apples so I put it on a 9x13 pan. It was thin , but came out nice and chewy. I also added a Tbsp of flour so the sauce would be thicker.

LOVE apple crisp!

I was happy it turned out good. The last 2 were super sweet. I also added a few more oats to make it crumblier.

No recipe here...but I would totally bottle the smell though!!

It looks easy enough. I'm not a fan of cranberry sauce. I'll eat craisins covered in chocolate though.

I'm not big on cranberry sauce. Probably because my family has only ever put that canned blob out. I made it one year, years ago, in my crockpot and it was pretty good. We'll see if this comes out tasty and if so, I will take this extremely simple recipe on every Thanksgiving. :)

Planning to serve it in the beautiful dish that db sent to us as a wedding gift.

Nef on the other hand, is making this for a dessert!

I'm making pumpkin pies from that new recipe so we'll see how that goes. I bought frozen pie shells just in case. I think I'll make an one in the regular pie shell and one in a graham cracker crust.

We just see fought our way thru Publix. I forgot whipped cream. I was glad to see it was Bogo. $6.99 for a cdn of reddi whip!!

Although I noticed gas was down. Maybe for holiday travelers.

It's always good to have a plan B. I bought the ingredients for both crockpot and stove top cranberry sauce. Since I'm going with the crockpot, I have 2 bags of oranges that won't be utilized. Thinking of making some fresh OJ with them. :)

No doubt hey! Being Canuck, the Americans focus on Thanksgiving is way larger then ours is up here for the same day but much earlier...probably because...timezones/timeframes and angles of the sun...

And it's a good thing I bought those. I didn't be read the graham cracker crust label. I can't have them. Fuck! So pie crust it is and my daughter will have some on hand.

Woody is having shrimp. apparently a truck turned over and they can't use the stuff for the store. Our neighbor us several bags of frozen shrimp. Score!

I did eat cat once. I can point out the Vietnamese place where my old roomie and I did so. Half way through dinner I noted the bones were far too thick to be chicken. Didn't even ask for a refund...the meal was free......Nanaimo and Hastings St Vancouver...
