I also made pumpkin bread. I feel like maybe it should have risen more? I've never made it before. The little piece that sucks to the pan was delicious though.

Wow! And it was probably real food then.

Dang I feel old now, I can remember when Hamburgers and Cheeseburgers were the only burgers they made. And, there was no indoor dining there were picnic style benches outside to sit on or you ate in your car in the parking lot.

My Dad wouldn't let us eat in the car, because the grease from the food soaked through the bag it came in.

That's when it was real food.

Last time I ate McDonalds was 2008, 15 years ago on the five hour drive to my Mother in laws funeral.

It's been a few years since I've been there. I quit eating the burgers awhile back not quite sure what was in them. I still had a taste for their fries once in a while and they use to have a deal on their app. I think it was $1 for a large fry and you didn't have to buy anything else.

I still have the app on my phone. It is now $2 for a large fry.

$0.97, we bought 2 in order not to screw others, one of whom I pointed it out to and she was delighted! Someone screwed up...the expiry dates got mixed up (not that it matters with dried, salted sausage) and $0.97 !!!!!!!!!

I actually found an off brand of tomato soup I can have so we're going to have grilled cheese and tomato soup later on.

Nice! I guess maybe I missed tomato season here...though I looked all the time for the field grown, heritage, ones to make soup out of. To no avail? I dunno, maybe the green grocer dumped some contracts or something...somewhat of a disappointment. So this year...I guess we will stick with the silky smooth squash soups various additions. I'll keep looking of the 'right' tomatoes though!

I haven't made it home made, but if I hadn't found one. I would tried it.

I can make a cream of mushroom though. Mushrooms are more important to me. Lol
I still have a few leftover mushrooms I think I m going to put it in my tomato soup tonight.

What selections of mushrooms do you have available fresh? I never thought to ask? Living so close to Hongcouver our selection is vast and really cheap. I compared canned prices to fresh and fresh was 1/2 at least.

We usually just have white and portobello. A 16 oz pack of white mushrooms is almost $4. I like fresh so much better. An 8 oz canned is $1.88 so about the same. My son gets exotic mushrooms sometimes from the Asian markets in Jax. They're expensive though. Last time he brought home lions mane. He fried them in butter, but I hated it! The texture was off and the taste was awful.

It's strange, usually the generic has the phosphate, but not this time. It tastes good to me. Woody wanted han so we bought a small package of ham cured with celery seed so I could have some. Mine has a slice of ham, white cheddar, and mushrooms on whole grain bakery bread.

Homemade mayo success. Got a $25.00 big bottle of non-gmo toasted sesame oil for $7.00. Now mix half of that with half of olive oil.

YUM. After ten tries with a blend stick, I read the trick: Have the blend stick just barely larger than the container circumference. Non-gmo eggs, even used a red wine vinegar instead of the usual called for in recipes.

I'll control my own ingredients, and thank Hellman's for sending me to these lengths. Don't want soy and rapeseed oil in my mayo!

WE did shake and bake (clearing cupboards) in the air fryer, it was awesome!

We haven't had real shake n bake in forever. I've just been making up my own. I'll have to buy some and compare just for fun. Wow, I must be getting old.

We managed to carve out an hour in between the rain to go for a little ride.

Ted had brought an armored coat for Woody because he didn't be think it would fit me (around the front).

Woody would rather me wear it. It's as little big, but it has so many Velcro straps to adjust, it works. We didn't even realize until he took the pics that there were reflector strips.

That's good though because I'm buying another light for the back. It doesn't have running lights in the back like the Honda. I want to make they see from behind! I guess the reflections from my coat will help, too.
