Corn flake coated chicken, oven fries, and crunchy cheese grits.

I forgot to take a pic, but I let the grits set up overnight in a bread pan. I sprayed the cookie sheet and also the tops of the grit patties. You have to wait until they're good and brown before you flip them.

We've both been exhausted all day. I had breakfast at about 8:30 and Sue has had nothing, so dinner should be welcome when we have it. Not hungry yet so it will indeed be a late meal.

I've seen this one before. Poor little guy was hot and thirsty! I have poured water into the little holes in the sidewalk for them.

We missed the weekend because we went to the kids' houses. Today we have a lot of errands so we won't see our squirrels into tomorrow.

The kids invited us to go to a water park with them on Wednesday. They even promised to make sure I don't drown! I can't swim.

We need a few things so I'm going to see if I can find something to wear. I haven't worn a bathing suit in years. The one I had works be way too big now. I'm probably just wear a tank top, but bottoms would be nice instead of shorts. Wish me luck!

Woody thought for a minute maybe we shouldn't go because I'm not good in the sun. I'm sure they have a place to sit in the shade though. If it's too bad, I'll just go out to the truck and take a snooze.

They even offered to buy us dinner. My daughter says there's a Larry's sub. I can't have that so I'm going to make me a tuna wrap and chips. I don't mind. I've kind of been wanting tuna anyhow.

I have some egg noodles I need to use so I'm going to make a tuna casserole tomorrow. I'll get my fill of tuna.

So we both managed to get shorts for $14. Good enough! Woody's is too big I think, too. I can't complain about having to buy smaller clothes!

We haven't been there before, but the kids have. It looks nice! I won't go down the slides, but he will.

That looks like a nice amusement park. I wouldn't do the slides nor the wave pool, but a lazy innertube float down the canal could be fun.

It should be pretty hot tomorrow compared to today, if we're close weatherwise.

Remind Woody he can't climb on the gorilla. ;)

We're going to have an awesome dinner tonight! We were blessed with what Woody is calling Jesus steaks. They were from the church.

I marinated them overnight in soy, Worcestershire, and red wine vinegar.

He'll probably need reminding, too.

I saw on the web site you can only take in snacks, not food. I hope they don't give me trouble about bringing my food.

My daughter said the wave pool is fun, but that's where they would have to make sure I don't drown.

The infamous Jekyll Island. The very place where the death of America was instituted. Over Christmas in 1913...I wonder if it has a 'doomy' vibe (outside of the park)?

I was surprised to read about that years ago.

It is a Richy rich place for sure. They charge something like $8 just to get on the island. We usually go to the next island over, St Simon's, as it's free.

We haven't been for a while. They have beautiful beaches there. There's a lot of hiking and bike riding trails. Deer come right out by the road.

Airfryer pork center loin chop. Airfryer baby red taters with some leftover butter chicken sauce the missus saved from her samosa meal while I was on the Coast.

Woody just caught a big old wolf spider. How the spider managed to evade 2 cats and the vacuum, I don't know.

His huge butt is back outside where he belongs!

So we're watching a series on Apple TV called The Servant. I didn't know anything about other than it was by M. Night Shyamalan. It is really good!

The main guy is a chef and is always making strange foods,
