Serious Question

Taste just like the others. Just easier to cook and very little clean up.
 Quoting: FLY BOY™

I find them far superior as well. Depending on the desired result. The airfryer leaves them far plumper and juicier.
With a decent crunch. But now and then I want chicken wings that are crispy AND dry.

Re: Food with Attitude!
We were in the store reading labels. So much fun!

I ended up with vanilla wafers, Teddy Grahams, and rice cakes for snacks. Between yeast phosphorus, it rules out a ton of stuff.

Plus I got some broccoli, carrots, mushrooms, and potatoes. I'll boil them to remove some of the phosphorus and keep it in the fridge in case I get hungry for real food.

Potatoes went back up again. There wasnt any 10 lb bags. I got a 5lb bag of yellow potatoes for just over $6.

Re: Food with Attitude!
We don't have to a lot of money or fancy toys, but Mr says we have something more important. we have raised good kids. My son has told me he will be first in line should I ever need a kidney.

I haven't said anything, but my hair has been falling out for months. What is up is a recent pic. It's not like I'm bald, at least not yet.

We're not quite sure why yet. If it's because of my thyroid meds, I just have to deal with it. My son says just let him know if I think I'm going to need a wig. He will grow his hair out for me.

If you're able to take these gummies, they really do help.

[link to www.amazon.com (secure)]

I went through a very high-stress situation that lasted a few years. It caused my hair to get thinner. Which only added stress which of course wasn't ideal.

Then I got covid a couple of times the past couple of years. My hair began falling out again. My once super thick hair is so thin now.

My hair has been long (not as long as yours, but down to waist level) for a while. It just didn't look nice anymore if I wore it down. It looked too thin and I hated it. Last week I grabbed my haircutting scissors and took a good 4-5 inches off of it. It feels so much better now and I'm not losing as much as I was previously in the shower and/or while brushing.

I'm also not balding, but my hair is way thinner than it should be. Those gummies helped my hair after the stress situation so I've been taking them again recently.

hf
 Quoting: Simple27

My hair was very thick! I think I have lost about half the volume. To me, it feels like there's nothing there.

It sounds so vain, but hair is kind of my thing. If I have to cut it, I won't be able to go anywhere in town without someone making a comment.

I'll have to to ask about it when I go on Thursday. He already told me to take biotin because my nails break down to where it bleeds. I think that started back when I was anemic and had to get several iron infusions. It didn't seem to help much but I kept taking it because I've always heard it takes a long time to see a difference.

I did start taking a monthly migraine shot. I know, I know, but the headaches wore me down. I thought it might be that. If so, great! I'm not be taking it next month.

I was at my primary doc today who said it could very well be from my thyroid meds. That's o can't change, although if it keeps up, I may have to cut it.

Care to share how you do the wings in the oven/air fryer? I tried making sweet potato fries tonite (cut up some sweet potatoes pretty thin, tossed with olive oil and salt and put in for 20 minutes at 400) but they were kind of soggy.

The insides were soft and cooked though. I do have them up on a wire rack over a cookie sheet. But they might need to be a little higher up over the edge of the pan?

Thanks in advance!

Kielbasa with potatoes and green beans. Mr's was cooked together, but I boiled my taters separately. Sort of like very lumpy mashed with butter, lemon pepper, and Parsley.

I'm not supposed to eat sausage so I had a quarter of a link and just cut it into really small bites.tounge

You know, or sweet potato fries never get crunchy either. They brown and get soft. Regular fries seem to be ok though. I don't know what the difference would be.

I haven't air fried wings though. We usually bake those for 60-90 minutes. Mr likes them very dry.

Yesterday went fine. Controlled mental urges to eat until last night. Cooked 1/2 lb of lean beef cooked in MCT oil, served w mayo, mustard on a whole grain breakfast muffin. MCT is fantastic and gives a better favor than olive oil, jmho. The pan is never dirty, must have a high temp tolerance. I managed to eat half w/o a craving until 9pm, then finished the booger.
Going to try again today, started w water, am splurging on 2 sugar cubes, soy, coffee. No supplements, I'm beginning to react to every capsule; tablets are fine. Tried to take the capsules apart, then realized I should consider blending/pressing my own pills. Day 2. Could be a crazier adventure.

:eww: Not eating those evah again!

I think it's a 5:2 fake fast I'm doing now, added 3c chicken broth 4 hours ago. So that's like +30 calories. I had to meditate before going to WF to buy wine and a birthday cake for a friend. omg. Everything was so tempting. I could literally smell the enclosed, refrigerated sushi. hahahahaha. I'm huuuuuuungery. 6 more hours to go, then I can pass out. If I feel hunger tomorrow, I'll eat. Belly and mind are doing much better than I expected.

Ha, sometimes you just can't do it.

Now when I think about back when I was fasting for 2-3 days at a time, I can't even imagine doing that now!

That leads me to think that your body tells you what it needs kind of like when something is wrong via symptoms.

Or maybe, it's just an excuse I made up for when my willpower failed.

And I ate the worm from the bottom of the tequila bottle once.

So idk?

But maybe not so adventurous anymore. lol

I finally checked my email. I've been bad about that lately. Good I did, I had a coupon for a free birthday meal at the BBQ place!

Brisket sandwich (without the bread) and baked beans with my ho made air fries.

Full disclosure, next pic is a video. Butters liked it more than me! I can't recall the last time he actually took food. He usually waits patiently, or at least waits for me to give him as bite.

I didn't eat that piece. I don't think there was any flavor left on it anyway.chuckle

We stayed home today as there are storms coming through. Good day to do house work.

We decided to try Mongolian beef. My orange chicken was a hit so why not.

Mr is cutting the beef now. He had bought a roast to make jerky, but never got around to it. Perfect!

And the driving was horrible. But I have a nice fire going in case the power goes out. And I made chili and cornbread. Tomatoes, peppers, onion, and garlic from the garden, meat from the neighbor's grass fed cow. spices and beans were store bought, but I do have some dried beans from the CSA...I should have planned a little better.

And the choccy vodka should be the 360 brand double chocolate. It is far better than even the Godiva version.

I tried a new cookie recipe too..jury is still out. Only 4 ingredients though

1/2 c. Butter, softened
2 1/2 c. almond flour
1/4 c. sugar
1 tsp almond extract

mix in a bowl, chill an hour, roll out and cut, chill on tray 15 min and then bake in 400 oven about 6 min.

The recipe said 425 but that burned them in 4 minutes.

let cool completely before moving or they shatter.

and I did melt some choccy chips to drizzle over them.

I'm just trying to find gluten free recipes for littlest and tweak them. I sent a batch to college.

I think that if I did it again, I would use some tapioca flour or arrowroot instead of all almond flour. I'm aiming for the texture of a pecan sandy and these were a little too grainy. I used coconut sugar to make them a little better health wise, but it isn't much for a whole batch of cookies. And I am debating about replacing half or more of the butter with coconut oil. But the flavor was pretty nice.
