Yes, I wanted to puree them, with a rich chocolate sauce and bake them in a torte.

Yeah, I had too much bar wine last night...and some slightly familiar drunk vet confessed to killing 10's of thousands, started crying as a Dr fr and I started trying to help him move on and forgive himself of killing children; but what took the cake was his confession to murdering someone in America w his father. What do ya do when they start confessing domestic murder? Sheesh, now he done gone and spoiled my brian with his stories.

crying I really don't know what to do.

Poor guy, being in a situation changes a person. I wonder if he felt obligated to help his father, or what this person did for them to think he deserved it.

I think I would just forget about it. Maybe he was drunk telling tall stories.

I have never heard of lupini beans. They look a little like lima beans?

Looks good though!

Quoting: All the World's a Stage

They're great! In the chickpea and lentil family, and close to fava beans in size and shape, though the article claims they taste like soy beans. I grew up eating them in Rome, where they sold them on the streets along with raw coconut/chestnuts/olives. You got them in paper cartoncini (brown paper rolled into cone-shaped containers). Sprinkled with salt. My cousin tells me they don’t do that any more. My aunt once bought me a 20-lb bag of dried lupini to bring back to the states after I visited one summer. We had checked on requirements but I still got stopped in US customs and they confiscated the lot.

Lupini bottled by Cento have their skins around them, which are easily broken - and the bean just pops out! I used to be able to find them in certain stores, but no longer. I did find a good source that ships them at a great price, but with hefty delivery charges. It’s the only food I have prepped to any great extent. Learned a little more about lupini when looking up basics today.

Like really fat butter beans! Too bad they are unkind to me...I'd have eaten bowls full!

S27, they look like quite tasty wraps!

I've been snacking all day: smoked salmon salad in celery stalks; pate and pickles on rye; more squid and bbq sauce; honey crisp apple and brie; coffee = 1300 calories. Time to stop.

I recall those beans fondly. From getting cheap beers at the Portuguese Club on Commercial Drive in Vancouver. They always had bowls of them. Great snack with a cold one and a footie match! ANyhow...inspired to do a chili tonight. Probably won't be photo worthy because of the slow cookers 'non-photogenicness' (lol, sp?).

I will definitely be on the look out for them. They look like Baby would like them. She loves butter beans.

I have been snackign today, too. A few Pringles, some wanton strips, broccoli & cheddar while cooking.

Today was stay at home & do chores day. I got some rearranging done. I rotated canned goods. We'll be eating lots of canned soups for awhile. tounge

I need to try salmon prepared properly. I don't think it will happen sadly. Nef isn't a fan and won't eat it. Me, I'd love to add it to the rotation.

Not quite sure if I'd like it, but if prepared properly, I think I would. I like white fish. Haddock, cod, swordfish...

No worries. We talk about whatever we want in this thread.

I have 3 cats, though sometimes I wish it were only 2.

I have a female, Clarice, who is 8 years old. She's got more than one screw loose & hides all the time. Only Mr can pet her anymore. I don't know why. We got as a 3 month old kitten. She was fine then. She just turned wild as she got older. She licks her hair out.

[link to imgur.com (secure)]

Billy who is a gray tabby. He is also about 8 years old. We don't really know as he was about 1 1/2 yrs old when we got him, or so the vet said. He is huge, about 20 lbs. He is a big baby. Although he likes us both, he is really more Mr's cat.

Butters (who is always in the pics) is my baby. He is going to be 3 yrs old next month. He's a real ham. When he wants something, he lets you know...very loudly! He is also very loving. He really knew when I needed him after my cancer surgery. He stayed by my side for days after I came home.

[link to imgur.com (secure)]

My kitties are very comfortable here in their home. I do think thought that if something serious, like a bomb going off or grid down, I think they would tell me something was up. Sorry nothing Earth shattering here.

That sounds delicious!! Fancy chili cheese fries.tounge

I use my crockpot & air fryer a lot more in the summer. We have central air, but I think the unit is a little small for the space. I'm sure they went as cheap as possible. We always have 2 fans running in our bedroom as well.

Now in the winter, I'll run that oven. I think it's probably cheaper heat. At least it's doing double duty cooking my food, too.

I think it's a heat pump? but it blows cold air even when on heat. Eventually the temp comes up, but it takes forever. It stinks & usually sets off all the smoke alarms when you turn it on first time of the year.

I'm running on about nothing.

We get bad storms and a lot of lightening. I have gotten a roll cloud coming off the water before. I'll look for it.

We made s'mores out of these new years I got 4 free. They're called stuffed puffs. Big marshmallows with chocolate in the middle. You just make for a few minutes on top of a graham cracker. Then smush! They were great but super messy! Baby had it in her hair. chuckle
