You mentioned chicken and waffles the other day and they have sat in my mind simmering a few days until today when I had to make it for breakfast.

I used to do paint by numbers. Does that count?

Some of them aren't bad though. Baby likes them. She had them hanging on her bedroom walls. I will have to take some pics.

I occasionally draw pictures using stencils. Then I color them with colored pencils. I can't draw anything freehand other than stick figures.

My son's girlfriend bought him an old timey toaster since he thought they were cool. Tonight, we are having either breakfast or BLTs so he can use his new toaster.

I wonder if aliens started ancient Chinese coin design?

Tsum Um Nui allegedly managed to decipher the hieroglyphic characters after 4 years of study which he claimed told the story of a spacecraft that crash landed in the area of the cave and that the ship contained the Dropa people. One of the discs apparently said the following: "The Dropa came down from the clouds in their aircraft. Our men, women and children hid in the caves ten times before sunrise. When at last we understood the sign language of the Dropas, we realized that the newcomers had peaceful intentions".

That looks great. I'm the only one here that will eat beets. I do get pickled ones and eat the jar by myself.

Everyone loves beets here, it's the kale I have to be sneaky with. I supposed I put it into nearly everything when they were little and ruined it for them. I'm thinking about trying zuppa toscana later this week. We are fortunate to be out of the giant heat wave.

Baked ziti looks goooooooood.

I harvested basil today and made up some 'pesto' with walnuts and romano instead of the traditional. Tastes good, and hoping it will be good on hot pasta later tonight.

Still...that baked ziti looks really yummy.

I, however, am a staff member for both of mine.

We harvested basil and put up pesto in the freezer today. I found affordable pine nuts at Trader Joe's. It's good with walnuts too though.

I got a good sized bunch of purple basil from the csa so we may have some purple pesto tomorrow.

I would pay to visit your garden! :)

We had eggs, bacon, biscuits & sausage gravy for dinner. Sorry no pics. I always forget that their fish tank lights turn the pics blue.
