Dang that pizza looks good!

Wait, is today Thursday? I keep losing days?

We had meatball sammies on little French rolls from Trader Joes, and watermelon and Greek salad.

But now I want ribs. and syrup on bacon.

Speaking of which..we use maple sugar a lot, and honey, and I buy the evaporated organic cane juice stuff at Walmart in the baking aisle for super cheap. I used to be able to get a 50lb sack of human grade organic evaporated cane juice from the feed mill but they went out of business. We do a LOT of canning so it was a good deal (strawberry jam, peaches, apple pie filling, raspberry jam, currant jelly, elderberry syrup, etc.)

I'm crashing out foodies, but as our dear Frausty says - much love and peace to you all.

Seems a post on REAL maple syrup went 'poof' and couldn't even hit the back button sort of 'poof'? ANyhow real maple syrup on back bacon is the only thing Canada has added to International cuisine aside from poutine. But only real maple syrup will do. All other 'syrups' are HFCS goops!

Okay, that 'made it' (fucking silly, pardon my French). ANyhow...slowcooker pulled pork on tortillas tonight. ALong with a blueberry, spinach salad with feta and slivered almonds and sunflower seeds. The dressing is awesome I've been told. blueberries, a tbsp of raspberry jam, balsamic and sunflower oil whirled in the magic bullet.

Well I was able to get a ton of things done around the house today while on the clock, even though work was very busy. It's really nice having the energy to do both, which rarely happens lol. Wednesday is my work-from-home day. So it's a late breakfast for dinner. I'm making bacon and scrambled eggs again for me and the kiddo. Nef is working.

Check out the supermoon tonight! :)

We had a square of a Hershey Symphony bar for dessert. It has nuts & toffee bits in it.

I'm eating mine thinking, wow this is a really hard nut. Nope, it was a piece of filling that came out. redface

At least, it doesn't hurt.

Oh my! I'm glad it doesn't hurt.
I got a twinge in one of my molars at that the thought of that...

Symphony bars are sooo good! Don't get me started writing about chocolate, lol or I'll fill a page!

My teeth have been bad since I was a kid. I never had proper dental care.

Now, they need so much work and not enough money to fix them. I need crowns which are like a $1000 each.

It's so ridiculous that teeth are not considered a part of healthcare!

Smart idea with the packed breakfast. That's really sweet that they do that together.

Afraid of stomach cancer?
How to prevent stomach cancer, be aware of aflatoxin.
Aflatoxin in food comes from mold spores that grow on the plants

Corn is likely the most common aflatoxin carrier you encounter, since it’s not just corn on the cob you have to worry about — everything made from corn is a problem. This includes cereal, chips, anything sweetened with corn syrup and anything fried in corn oil.

Wheat is another leading carrier of aflatoxin, and gluten intolerance has been linked to aflatoxin allergies.

Peanuts and aflatoxin are synonymous to food inspectors, who first started monitoring aflatoxin in peanuts in 1972. Raw nuts are a bigger concern than processed nuts, but you’ll want to be careful of all peanut butters and peanut oils.

Dairy products and eggs are often overlooked as major sources of aflatoxin in food, but animals that feed on contaminated corn or wheat will pass aflatoxin on to human consumers.

Dried fruits — particularly figs — can be loaded with mold spores. Check each piece carefully and cut risk by removing any that are discolored or obviously contaminated.

Tree nuts, including pecans, pistachios and walnuts, are susceptible to aflatoxin contamination.

Certain spices — such as black pepper and chilies — are aflatoxin sources. They can be infected with mold as they are dried, shipped, and stored.

Thank you Para, I pray it will be.

You are certainly up very early today!!

I had a tremendous day and accomplished much, the difficulty is in convincing stubborn people to get off their asses and fully do their jobs.

I've had it. We spent over $500K USD on a new printing management system that our Desktop Support just refuses to deploy so it may be used.

Behind their reticence to deploy a print client network-wide, that $500K license expires in four months and the new print management is only in five out of close to eight hundred locations.

I've written a detailed letter and sent it to my boss to discuss with our Director and the Desktop Support manager today in a meeting. I want to remove all offline network printers from all PC's since the locations either don't use them or are too stupid to report a printer gone offline. I expect and demand they deploy the new Print Management globally on July 17th, or that $500K USD and no less than three full months of my work were a waste of both time and money.

I save tax dollars and my coworkers are working with all deliberate speed to waste it as quickly as possible so my frustration knows no bounds.

Yesterday I had a small breakfast in anticipation of our leaving to go shopping at 3:30 PM yet Mrs. managed to delay it to after 8:00 PM. We were home after 10:00 PM and at such a late time there was no possibility of me even having a dinner.

I had to again reiterate to Mrs. that every day she 'springs' some unplanned trip on me and every day she says anything like 'lets go shopping and have dinner', yet then ignores that so we arrive home after 8:00 PM is already too late for me to eat and will always result in and angry swearing Louis.

Always.

It is frustrating when you can't get everyone on the same page at work. Most people seem to dob only what they have to in order to stay on the job.

Hopefully today's dinner will be planned better for you!

Re: Food with Attitude!
I'm on my way out to the park now, but I'll try to find what I've read later & post it.

stay cool out there!

I'm a real sugar girl & have too many kinds all from cane, all stored in glass mason jars for the apocalypse: amber, white, cubed, powdered, demerara, brown, caster.

That would be some serious currency in a SHTF scenario!

Re: Food with Attitude!

Perhaps a dental school has a free or low cost option?

Oh no! Glad it doesn't hurt! You can get DIY filling stuff from CVS or Walgreens and I'm sure Walmart. It's temporary, but it works, and prevents pain. :)

Great suggestion! I have some of that in my emergency kit but forgot about it.

Everyone's food looks amazing!

Re: Food with Attitude!
I need to take notes and just make one post when catching up. Oopsie.

I hope everyone is having an amazing day! Good luck with your appointment, Para. Your breakfast for dinner looked SO good, especially the eggs. I also love syrup on my bacon and breakfast sausage.

BC, your pizzas look great!

If I can figure out how to use Imgur, I will post a picture of the steak my husband grilled last week on my birthday. hf

You can't see the steak because it's smothered in mushrooms & onions, but it was beautiful!
