The other thread contains a link to the official N.C. website where the map of the new state can be found. Guess what portion of California the new state will be made of? Everything except San Fransisco and Los Angeles. Wanna know why this wont work? You can't take the majority of the landmass and call that the new portion. If they were going to split the state down the half then maybe this would work but not this 98% idea.
