If the earth is a globe, how is it possible that a photograph of the Alps in its splendor can be taken from the Pyrenees?

Though that video may SEEM to prove globe earth, it doesn’t, because the limited scope of the suns rays plus the law of perspective can give the same result on a flat earth.
 Quoting: Hartz

Lived on ocean 20+ years..seen literally thousands of sunsets. Every one just as seen in video above. Sun drops straight down out of the sky and right into the ocean it goes. Once it gets close to the horizon it is gone within a matter of minutes often with a quick green flash. A 'vanishing point' sun would be slow and gradual. The "perspective" argument is complete nonsense but the reality is that is all fe has so they gotta run with it. Nowhere to run though.

you know humans are mostly made of water?

You do know The total molecular weight of water is only 18 grams. also air pressure and the attraction of each individual molecule to the center of mass and each other keeps the oceans in place. Mass of the earth gives a greater attractive force than that of the earth tuning slowly once every 24 hours..you will no doubt say but, but 1000mph......that is nothing speed is relative.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 79883256

The oceans stay in place because the earth is flat. There is no gravity—only density and buoyancy.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 77599233

ROFL

Explain Tidal forces and orbital bodies if no gravity. Explain objects falling in a vacuum chamber? Density does not give you a downward vector. What gives things Mass? no it not density.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 79883256

Why is the air pressure in my house the same as outside? why does this pressure drop the higher you go from sea level? if you removed the atmosphere would you float off the planet? Because that what you saying.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 79883256

Why would oceans stay on a flat earth? what would hold it in place. Don't say the atmosphere because then i'll ask what holding that in place..as we all know air pressure gets less the higher you go. You'll say a dome lol then it would have to be a fully pressured system and pressure would have to be even all the way up to the dome.

A vanishing point sunset would not necessarily be slow and gradual. Because the light of the sun only has a limited range, it is abrupt. The law of perspective only reinforces that fact.

The sun does get smaller as it goes away, but only almost imperceptibly so. Also, greater refraction near the horizon makes the sun appear larger as it gets smaller by fading away.

As this is happening it always stays the same size, never gets smaller. At horizon it goes from full, to half, to quarter, to poof... and gone.

Once it gets close to the horizon it is gone within a matter of minutes often with a quick green flash.

A 'vanishing point' sun would be slow and gradual, and would 'appear' smaller and smaller as it gets further away, staying fully circular/round in appearance all the while ...until it gets so small it 'vanishes'

Again...the "perspective" argument is complete nonsense but the reality is that is all fe has so they gotta run with it. Nowhere to run though.

You are assuming that the light of the sun has an infinite span. But it does not. It’s range and intensity are both limited, and this is the reason for the sudden drop, which is reinforced by perspective.

(since many fe appeal to the bible)

just for the record .. globe earth does not necessarily mean spinning-orbiting

a fixed i.e. non-spinning, non-orbiting globe-earth, in the center of the universe - as that is where God is working out all his eternal purposes - is actually the best way to interpret the limited information given on the subject in the bible, along with all observable phenomena

geocentric fixed globe earth

the air acts as a lense above the earth crust. it magnifies larger things around the bend. Turn you glasses sideways, you can see the same effect.

No, air does not have that type of magnification power. Glass certainly. Air, no.
