If the earth is a globe, how is it possible that a photograph of the Alps in its splendor can be taken from the Pyrenees?

Why doesn't the sun get bigger or the moon the higher you go up in a plane? If they was near and close to the earth shouldn't they both get bigger?

They don't lol

come on flatard disprove that one

Also sun move 15 degrees an hour no mater where ever you are on earth. That just cant happen on a flat earth now can it.

Its a very simple logical proof:

1. You claim the earth is flat

2. If 1 holds then that means the ENTIRE surface of the earth must lie on the same plane, because that's what "flat" means

3. If 2 holds true, then this means that any unobscured point of the flat plane should be visible from elevation, ESPECIALLY other elevated points.

Just like you can see all the unblocked skyscrapers in a downtown area from the roof of another skyscraper.

4. If 3 is true, this MUST MEAN that all the peaks of all the tallest mountain ranges are visible to us as long as they're unobstructed.

5. You claim there is some "mysterious haze" that prevents this, but this is defeated by the simple fact that the Sun, Moon, and stars are ALL VISIBLE on the horizon.

6. Number 5 means that EVERYTHING BETWEEN THE STARS, SUN, MOON AND US MUST BE VISIBLE.

7. Since this is NOT WHAT WE OBSERVE, the Earth CANNOT be flat.

There you go, a simple proof that you're wrong and can't admit it now.

Sorry BIGOT!

All you have PROVEN is that you need to move out of your MOTHER'S BASEMENT.

The Earth is FLAT.

You need to REVERSE ENGINEER... YOUR thought preconditions to see where YOU have gone wrong.

FLAT EARTH is so insistent.

What is this MIND BLOCK of yours that...

a) Denies the REALITY of haze
b) Insists that you can see FOREVER.

Doesn't matter how much you bark at me...

NEITHER of those two items will EVER come around to YOUR point of view.

REALITY is.

FLAT EARTH is.

Are you Aspbergers?

If you want to see the TRUE limits of vision...

Get a camera, that will accept a HIGH QUALITY infraRed filter, hopefully with a powerful zoom.

Talk to a knowledgeable camera guy... Very chatty.

Go with friends to high altitude viewpoints and go crazy.

Then, we will talk.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 75203286

Dude some of us have been on a plane before. There is no "haze". There are clouds SOMETIMES. But when you're on a plane you can clearly see the GROUND AND THE HORIZON. You're talking about some mystical "haze" because you're a deceptive asshole and a complete phony. Intelligence is lost on willfully dumb animals like you.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 79030242

Not only are you a BIGOT...

But you are PSYCHOTIC as well...

You're a dumb animal because you deliberately refuse to use logic and facts to respond, instead you rely on waving your hands about some damn "haze" and prattling on just to keep your stupid conversation going so you don't have to look like you lost. You don't seek the truth, you seek to satisfy your own ego which makes you an idiot!

Sorry.

I touched on this point earlier in the thread.

The long and the short of it is creating an artificial VIRTUAL SANDBOX governed by RULES that have ALMOST NOTHING to do with REALITY.

The deceipt is on such a MASSIVE SCALE that few can wrap their heads around it.

The result is a control mechanism.

As well as keeping us from escaping from it.

A prison, mostly of our own making.

The illusions are practically unending.

If you start a thread on THAT topic...

I will POPULATE it with information....

And YOU WILL be stunned.

The turmoil you are seeing on a DAILY basis is MOSTLY because the RAPID advancement of TECHNOLOGY has EXCEEDED the ability of the SLAVEMASTERS to maintain the ENVELOPE.

THAT is why THEY are getting ready to do a GREAT RESET.

If you SURVIVE, you will LONG for the GOOD old days.

It just looks different depending on where it is.

The Sun does NOT set.

It moves out of RANGE of its luminosity.

Here is the formula.

Take it up with the author of this page if the math is too hard for you.

You seem a little LIGHT in the INTELLECTUAL LOAFERS Darion.

What you ATTEMPTED to advance in your longer post where you are advocating the viewpoint SUPPOSEDLY(?) being advanced with your ALL SEEING ALL KNOWING calculator is 100% bullshill.

What does the MAXIMUM peak of the 'from' mountain have to do with ANYTHING?

What would matter if this was a REAL analysis is the altitude of the spot the PHOTO was taken from.

You are calculating some bogus view distance from the MAXIMUM of the 'from' mountain that has NOTHING to do with NOTHING.

What's worse it is FABULOUSLY in ERROR!!! cuz the FACT that you can see the 'to' mountain from 275 miles in distance does it in.

I will revisit the context of said genius mit calculator web site and determine what HIS BENT happens to be and see if it can be used for SOMETHING at some point in the future.

Sorry, today is GAME DAY and after all, it is ONLY A DISCUSSION WITH MORANIC SphereOIDs...

Which brings us back to in excess of 50,000 feet of PROJECTED DECLINATION...

Which means...

Categorically, there is NO WAY that ANY of the ALPS should be visible from the vantage point of the photographer.

Remember kiddies 50,000 feet > 15,000 feet +

Is THAT embarrassing or what?

LOL
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 75203286

Observer height matters. Your 50,000 feet would only apply if the observer was looking with his head on the ground at 0 feet. Instead he was elevated on another mountain.

Nope. He was talking about VISIBILITY.

And the Earth is FLAT.

So the calculations for the SphereOIDS becomes a MUTE point.

At THAT distance, 275 miles, the RELATIVE heights of the source & target have ALMOST ZERO impact.

So the ALPS should be 35,000 below the HORIZON...

Which is CLEARLY NOT the situation.

true but by a far smaller amount than 50,000 feet and well in to the range where refraction could account for the observation which is why it doesn't happen every day which the person that took the photo said.
 Quoting: LHP598

SphereOID DELUSION over!!!

I believe the word you meant was "moot" point. And observer height still matters. The higher the observer, the less is hidden behind the curve.
For a viewer with his head on the ground at zero feet then 50,000 feet would be hidden behind the horizon. But for the observer height of 2820 meters (or about 9250 feet) as stated by 79799033, the amount hidden behind the horizon at 275 miles is a little over 16,000 feet.
But thanks for proving you don't understand the subject.

Re: If the earth is a globe, how is it possible that a photograph of the Alps in its splendor can be taken from the Pyrenees?
Because something is closer DOES NOT mean you must be able to see it! You are making a fool out of yourself. A mountain is not a source of light output. It is NOT a source of illumination "because the sun is shining on it".
I am not trying to ridicule you when I point out your inability to grasp elementary logic, I am just trying to stop you repeating foolish flaws in your understanding.
 Quoting: Morrissons are cunts

What on earth are you talking about? You do realize 99.9% of everything that you "see" is NOT a source of light output right? This is what I mean. Caucasians always bluster and claim "you're making a fool out of yourself" while spewing ABSOLUTE NONSENSE.

The only reason you wouldn't be able to see something closer to you is if there was no light...WE'RE TALKING ABOUT THE FLAT EARTH DUMBASS I.E. THE STUFF THE SUN SHINES ON. So YES IF THE SUN SHINES ON IT IT MUST BE CLOSER THAN STARS AND THUS SHOULD BE VISIBLE WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?

Caucasians DELIBERATELY spew madness so that they don't have to admit defeat. They are LITERALLY THE WORST KIND OF PEOPLE EVER. They think as long as they're tricking someone that they're winning. So they play dumb LIKE STUPID ASSHOLES to avoid growing the fuck up.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 79030242

Listen and learn, 99.9 per cent of what you "see" are very close objects indeed. You asked why you could see a star so far away and why not a mountain much nearer. I told you the answer. If the star was not emitting light you would not be able to see that either. Only an idiot compares unlike specimens when looking for a proof.
You need to compare like with like to draw any kind of sensible conclusion.
Now try and answer that point without any more retarded racist ranting !
Haha haha!
Your ancestors, whatever they were, must be spinning in their graves in embarrassment. You making such a fool of them and yourself.

Either way, the Alps should be COMPLETELY obscured by the curvature, and the fact that they can be seen in their full glory means that there is something much more than refraction going on...it means that the earth is flat!

 Quoting: LHP598

NOT a factor.

It is 275 miles apart.

Only a TOTAL moron would try to make THAT assertion.

Bullshill.

The MAXIMUM you would would hide GENIUS would be the DELTA between the elevation of the observer and the MAXIMUM elevation of the OBSERVED.

Which NETS out to some thing like...

OVER 275 miles is INCONSEQUENTIAL.

And it's for reasons like THAT...

That YOU think the Earth is a SphereOID.

If you are confused DRAW yourself a LITTLE triangle and POPULATE with it with the specifics.

AEIOU...

Cuz you OBVIOUSLY need the help.

SO... I REVISITED the PRIZE WINNING photograph...

And GUESS WHAT?

You are ABSOLUTELY disinqenuous!!!

If you look at the CLEAREST peak, Grand Ferrand...

You can CLEARLY see it in ALL IT'S GLORY at a distance of 392 KM or 243 miles.

There is NO CURVATURE... as in ZERO CURVATURE.

243 MILES!!!

Can you FEEL the BURN?

You have NO place left to hide.

It is in your face...

And at a distance of approximately 1,283,040 feet in the distance any scaling of viewer vs viewed becomes STATISTICALLY INCONSEQUENTIAL...

No matter which FALSE NARRATIVE your pray to!

You need some lotion for that?

Lanolin based ointments are VERY soothing.

because BOTH points are so high .. that's why. That calculator is only taking into account one mountain range... but climb to the bottom of the pyrennes and you will not see the alps, I can assure you...

Flat earth is a psyop to make all "conspiracy theorists" seem like morons
