Anonymous Coward User ID: 78108960 United States 12/06/2020 02:20 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | new car production is depressed so people having to buy used Quoting: Anonymous Coward 78526257 also people forced to buy used due to money crunch supply and demand is all I noticed it months ago buying a truck. Supposedly.....Hertz, etc. all had much lower revenues due to COVID, so they were liquidating their fleet cars, which were supposed to flood the market place ...yet despite a flood of supply prices are sky rocketing. You need to realize 22% of the dollars in circulation this year are new and created this year by the evil rotten scumbag democrats. DEMOCRATS ARE EVIL SCUMBAGS THAT WANT YOU POOR. |

I BOUGHT A PIECE OF CRAP HARLEY FOR A BOAT LOAD OF MONEY YEARS AGO AND ALL OT DID WAS BREAK... I WATCHED EVERY YOUTUBE VIDEO... THE BEST VIDEO IS THE AUSTRALIAN GUYS SPEAKING AS IF THEY ARE THE CHILTON MANUAL WRITERS ... THAT VIDEO WILL TEACH ANY NOVICE HOW TO BUILD AND MAINTAIN A HARLEY OR VTWIN TYPE LIKE S&S MOTORS... THAT SAID... FUCK THE CAR... GET A HARLEY PROBABLY A CRAPPY 883 SPORTSTER , LOL ! :capsrage2: I have a 2009 883 Sportster I built up to a 1200 myself with new jugs and pistons... I bought it brand new and it now has 47 thousand miles on it and the only thing I've had to replace is the tires , the battery and the the brake pads. The Evolution engine is as dependable as any Jap bike, if not more. It was more dependable than the Toyota pickup I had back in the 80s, which I DID have to make minor repairs on, and it DID return quite quickly to the earth from where it came in the form of rust..It literally broke in half crossing a railroad track one day. |

Quality control and just plain quality of GM products has went down the toilet, i highly recommend staying away from them and Dodge, and only buy the ford v 8 f-150 if you do buy an american made pickup. The Nissan Titan is by far the best bargain, thought they have chincy interiors and some fit and finish problems, it has a bulletproof engine and transmission that will go a half a million miles if you dont abuse it, and it costs less than a tundra which is known to have variable cam timing problems around 100 grand.. That ecoboost shit Ford is making is TOTAL garbage and will cost you a fortune to keep running. Trying to squeeze 400 hp out of small V 6 is a recipe for disaster. BTW, did your Silverado have the 4.3 vortex engine or was it a V-8? I still have my 94 Sierra and thought the engine is worn out at 260 K it still runs, it just burns a quart of oil every 1000 miles or so. |

The reason I asked you if you still have it and what engine is in it is because I would consider buying it myself for three grand with that mileage. MY 94 Flareside is in really good shape other than the engine being worn out and the windshield busted out, it is a Texas only truck with NO rust, in fact it is totally undercoated by the TAR they put on all of the Farm to Market roads here.. |

I have since put around 80 thousand on it, the odometer reads a little over 200k now. Uses no oil, the coolant looks like the day I put it in and the engine runs like a new one. In the time I had the only mechanical problem it ever had is a the gas cap cracked and leaked and made the engine light come on and a battery connector corroded through. HIGHLY RECOMMEND NISSAN TRUCKS they're the cheap Toyota |

That's your future and thats why the older ones are so high, they already had to replace the engine. |
