For many centuries there was no freedom to express any thoughts that disagreed with CATHOLIC church dogma. Then the American and French revolutions brought a new wave of personal freedoms, including freedom of religion.
Since then there have been skeptics and scoffers of religion, and that will inevitably continue as long as there is the freedom to do so.
Quoting: 3643297 Catholics killed Christians. Catholics Broke off from the True Church an began amassing power. The protestants broke off from the Catholics and splintered into thousands of little self interpretatioms with no authority behind them. The true church through all the murder and persecution of it's people still stand, and have kept the traditions and writings of old. Let me guess. You approve you?
