The last time the United State were this divided, 2 planes "United" and "American" crashed into the World Trade Centers..
Instantly, all of the people of the US were united against a common but unknowable enemy and we all backed the President, whether we voted for him or not and a great sense of patriotism swept the nation.
Why not just do that again?
