Flat rate. Cheaper to call landline to landline. Call companies in the UK have various plans, some have fixed rate all the time, some offer free landkine to landline minutes if you're with the same company. Others offer free evening and weekend calls. |

Some mobiles (premium) are quite a bit more costly. I just wanted to make sure that from landline to landline it was a countrywide type of thing and you have confirmed. My inbound calls there will be the same cost regardless of who is calling. Thanks again. Cryptographer |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 79376311 United Kingdom 11/17/2020 02:03 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | if you have a mobile phone in the uk depedning on carrier (o2, vodafone, three, ee, etc) a bundle of minutes for calls (including unlimited minutes) can be had for quite cheaply and will last for one month until you top up/add a bundle again. this is for payg - pay as you go. on contract pjhones often have unlimited minutes included in the monthly price. cost per month maybe 10-30 pounds not including the phone. unlimited minutes allows you to call any landline or mobile number in the uk as much as you want because its unlimited. some numbers are not included in this unlimited plan like those that start 0845 or 0870, there are some others i cant think of also premium numbers are not included. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 79620433 United Kingdom 11/17/2020 02:09 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I need to deploy a number in the UK for a special use project. What I am curious about are your standard calling and billing practices the the UK zone. Quoting: Cryptographer For example, if someone in LONDON wishes to place a call to KETTERING, ENGLAND or GILLINGHAM, ENGLAND or LEEDS, ENGLAND would this be considered what is called in the US as a "Local Call"? My destination numbers would be "Local landline" and not considered "Mobile Numbers". I want to pick a location best for rolling out this telephone number so that it can be reached from the greatest number of places inside the UK without being considered a Toll or Long Distance type call. I could research this the old school way but it is certainly way easier to ask here as I know there are a number of you that live in the UK. Any help and insight will be appreciated. Thanks in advance! wouldn't know I get free calls with my internet and free calls on my mobile suppose it depends on the provider and what you opt for pick one that gives you so many free minutes |

Or at least that is what it was when I had 08 numbers, described as non-geographic back then. |
