There shouldnt be a work in your house tax, there should be oversight from the Better Business Bureau to approve whether or not you are operating your house business in a healthy enough state.

Food businesses shouldnt ever be ran from a personal residence.
Not anutter cig nature.

Awwww. A brandnew tax being proposed by Deutsche Bank.

Under a Biden Administration I am sure this will be implemented. The first of many new taxes and charges. Just like in Europe. The left loves taxes, charges, fees etc. Get ready to pay out the wazoo, people.

Exactly. You are going to see plumbers, carpenters, etc. do work for customers after quitting time in order to avoid paying taxes. Maybe that happens now already to an extent but this is going to take off on a massive scale if Mr. Biden gets into office. Many people in Europe try to scam the system where possible because you just don’t ever get ahead. You have to pay so much to the government in taxes and everything that people just try to get some of it back in one form or another. No sense in working your ass off either. Five o’clock is five o’clock. No point in staying to get the work done. Tomorrow is another day.

those who work from home have various commodities and privileges, so why not taxing them, it's a good idea

they don't have the expenses of traveling, of fuel, amortization etc.

either tax those who work from home or start giving financial stimulus' to people who are risking their lives under the CORONAVIRUS threat, you can't have it both ways

anyway, if you would tax the banksters, all problems would be solved in couple of days

Re: Work from home tax of 5%
they want to tax 5% so that they can give essential workers (those who must go into work) more money. Let me see. If a company can now cut down on rental fees because they don't need that much office space, why cant the company just give their essential workers more money to make up for it? i'm so glad i was so ill i had to quit my job. the company refused to give me more money while i was an essential worker while many, if not all, of the higher ups stayed home. they still don't give my husband more money either despite being essential. just a 'thank you'. f the thank you. show me the money! We're planning our escape from this place eventually.

get this.... working from home, i have the "privilege" of assuming most of the operating costs my work was dealing with before.

the vee pee n i have? i already had that license when i was working in the office, the internet usage??? they actually saved tons by having us work at home. they blocked all external browsing via the vee pee n. so all those lazy mfs at work youtube all day? ya....

so now you want me to assume all the other costs, provide my own office space and furniture and supplies, take a pay cut and now a 5% tax?

edit: for some reason this site changes vee pee n to tards...

Been "working from home" for decades whilst living the "millionaire next door" lifestyle.

> 20% corporation tax
> 45% income tax
> 20% VAT
> 40% inheritance tax
+ council tax, TV license despite not owning a TV, and a myriad of other taxes.

Meanwhile my neighbour has been on benefits her whole life, gets house, new cars, brand new latest smartphone, clothing, higher priority access to healthcare, all paid for, indirectly, by me.

What's a measly 5% more to pay for my neighbours new car? /s

What's worse is, the WAH people have reduced their carbon footprint tremendously and now they want to penalize them for it! Hypocrites.

Just like they keep the government breeding programs going instead of incenting people to have smaller families...yep, that'll reduce consumption alright.

Let's tax the WAH people so we can keep the breeding and invasion programs fully funded.

Yeah and now the employers will also tell their employees they are going to reduce their pay on top of the 5% tax to reflect their lowered transportation costs, etc. Watch it's coming.
