I agree. I wish GLP would put the Canadian flag in distress mode like they’ve properly done with the US flag that shows members’ locations. We’ve been attacked hard as a nation for years now.

Did they want to scare citizens out of the woods because something is there they wanted to hide?

did they do it to instill a fear of the outdoors?


or simply for the pure joy of being evil?

Interesting take, especially about wanting to scare people out of the woods and national park areas. Sort of like what I’m suspicious the whole Missing 411 series is meant to do.

The additional interesting take on this is that, because they made it obvious that it was a military hoax, then are they trying to scare people from the woods and wilderness areas, not because of animals (which we always have, anyway), but because the military pulls creepy things there? Sort of like psychologically claiming the woods for themselves, or to add to the sense of governmental omnipresence.

Oh, and I agree that they also just like the sense of evil and control with mind-messing with the public. It’s an oldie with them to demoralize and beleaguer the citizenry.
