I must say that, while I am not wholly convinced yet, the notion is quite compelling to say the least. I have always carried an abiding outrage and sorrow over the assassination of Jack Kennedy. I happen to subscribe to MLK's assertion that the universe tends toward good. I spent a long time in the Army. I know that there are far more good people in our military than there are shitbags. The whole backstory about Trump being asked to run by members of the military and intelligence communities does resonate with me. It has been gut-wrenching and heart breaking to watch what the corporations and elected body have done to our nation and the world in our name. Dare I hope that we will not see war on our soil? I just pray this is not Thucydides Trap. |
