Really interesting story.

I've had weird things happen with reading in the last month that I've never had happen before.

I'll read something like a really weird headline I'll read it over and over again thinking "there's no way it says that," but conclude that it DOES say that and move on. Then I'll catch a glimpse of it again 30 seconds later and it reads completely different from what I was seeing.

I can't tell if I'm going a little crazy or what honestly

Another weird thing when typing...all of a sudden I've had problems with typing small words completely backwards. Somehow I'll type dna instead of and, or eht instead of the.

Again, something I've never done in the past that suddenly I've been doing frequently. Really weird.

Well, this morning my co-worker and I got shut down to weather. We naturally went back to bed, separate hotel rooms, it was 5:00 MTN. At 8:00 on the dot we both got up, dressed hurriedly and went to our trucks thinking we had got called back in and overslept. After we realized we had lost our minds, we realized we had both had the same exact dream at the exact time.

Weird, just saying.

This happened to me 2 days ago...exact same thing. Linens changed to white and a few minutes later, ack to light blue.

This morning I discovered I am missing 4 right foot sandals. Hopefully the left's appear when I get home.

The opposing sides has been something in my field growing stronger since 2016. This year has been unreal. Even the election plays a major role into the coming shift. The fight is also about trying to prevent the shift from taking place. View it as two trains on parallel tracks. One is heading for derailment the other is moving full steam ahead. There is bleed over between the two. This morning felt like being pulled back over to the derailing train. NO.

Maybe the color isn't actually changing, but something is briefly altering the way we see color or light?

Were you wearing Polarized sunglasses? Sometimes when you shift your head, it can cause color distortions. Just throwing this possibility out there.

In other words...nothing physically changed about the linens, only the way you perceived them changed. Only in your mind they changed. Which is still really weird, not taking away from the experience you had.

The most rational explanation I can think of is that it was indeed a trick of your eyes, similar to the mentioned optical illusion but not exactly the same and also related to the fact it was a bright sunny day out. I'm not sure of the color of your garage or house, or the predominant environmental colors (but since it's fall more than likely gold/brown), but they are no doubt heavily responsible as well.

As you walked out of your house into the direct sunlight your eyes would have to make signifcant dilation rather quickly and since you OP seems to indicate that you were focusing on your destination, the garage, seeing the cushions look weird in your peripheral vision is probably due to your brain also needing to perform some quick pre/post processing on the optical signal it was receiving to maintain a coherent image with main priority being to the central focus of your consciousness with less importance being placed on the accuracy of any periphery. The intense light saturation difference between indoors and outdoors on a near noon sunny day should not be underestimated, the type of signal processing of the brain and commiserate mechanical actions of the eyes between the two environments can be quite drastically different and since the physical limitations to the type of signal information the eye can receive is pretty obviously delinated by the rods and cones it should be apparent that the "sight" you brain generates from that information will not always, or even ever, be a 100% reflection of empirical reality especially in times of rapid drastic change in environmental illumination.

As you left the house the second time, again facing the same luminary saturation and dominant color transition in the field of vision, again on a focused mission returning to the garage, your brain probably loaded up the same process but with a slightly stronger neural presence because it just used the same pathways a few moments before but this time instead of continuing on your way to the garage letting the anomalies stay in the periphery with no conscious focus you actually stopped and focused directly on the cushions. Once it was clear that your entire focus was on the cushions, your brain had to scramble for a second to change it's pre/post processing to give you the most accurate and relevant data to the new main objective you were putting in front of it.

All that may seem a little bit of a stretch, but based off my own understanding how the eye's work and the brain processes the information it receives from them it's actually way more than just a little possible, it's highly likely. Stuff like this is relatively common even, not in the natural world per se as the whole optical neural system is pretty well conformed to nature's favored decorating schemes, but when you mix in the endless artificial creations of man, in shape and color specifically, it is easy to see how the brain will sacrifice complete accuracy for convenient subjective lies that improve the speed and clarity of processing the objective focus.

This. Yes. My wife thinks I am nuts, but it happens all the time.

I dropped a bolt the other day, it fell down to my feet onto a wooden box. I climbed down ladded to get it and it was gone. I proceeded to strip the entire area (a tiled floor) and have yet to find it. Just gone.

Cutlery is a common example.

I moved to my current place from a smallish unit in a gated community

I lived alone and never held parties. When I moved, I was missing a number of teaspoons. Logically they would be under a couch etc, but I stripped the place bare when I moved, and nothing, just gone.

I experience this a lot, the appearing later in an impossible place as well.

I told my wife the conundrum with the bolt is it will only appear if I stop looking for it, but if I stop looking for it I cannot complete my work ...

Because our sky is, and that stuff happens. I can also get sunspots to a degree where my vision is compromised and compromised significantly for upwards of 2-4 minutes.

happens to me these days more than I care to admit. My hubby is still snoozing...

Glitch in the software; my NPCs are repeating. One day driving to work, I saw a tall guy and a small guy walking on the sidewalk (I think they were brothers). I made a right turn, and just a short while later I'm pretty sure I saw the same two guys. When I was making my final left turn, I saw the same two guys AGAIN. Everything else that day was seemingly normal.

I was raised catholic. Went to catechism every week. Went to mass every Sunday. Had a grandmother with the catholic statues all over the damn place. Portraits, prints, books, decorative plates. All of it.

Seriously. With my constant religious education, how did this never pop up (even once)? I’ve watched the History Channel throughout the last couple decades. And this THIS was never mentioned? Ancient Aliens, history of religions, all of the Biblical documentaries and the locations they are suspected to have taken place....

I have never known any other way of being beside being able to see things others don't know they can. Being able to see beyond this material world into the world where spirits dwell is something humans are naturally able to do. We have been indoctrinated to believe otherwise. We all have a 6th sense. It seems over the last several years more are realizing it. That's good. We were created to be able to exist in both worlds. Balance comes when you embrace both.

Maybe you just took some acid earlier and forgot about it. That happens to me every 3 days or so.

I think the internet we search is changeable. They are changing the past by adding fake online/photoshopped content. My personal wtf was the face mask photos of the 1920s. So many and I've never seen them.
