They help with mental illness.

Why are you pillheads so freaked out about plants and herbs but Big Pharma is no big deal?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 79574489

Look fuckstick. Speak up when you KNOW what you are talking about. I’m a thirty year medical professional. I have spent many many years taking care of mental patients

You don’t give someone that has hallucinations drugs that induce it or perpetuate it. These people do not perceive reality as someone else. You may THINK you are having a rational conversation with these people but what THEY perceive is a 12 foot 6 armed amoeba with 19 heads that are trying to eat them

You do not fuck around with this kind of mental disease. Imminently life threatening

Wanna know why this rampant voter fraud happened, because these are the people pulling the strings.

Oregon is now lost, was for awhile, but this takes it over the edge. Portland residents, prepare for an influx of drug addicted homeless. This is insane to me, meth? Heroin?

I feel like I woke up in another country today, I’m so disappointed with this shit.

Pretty much seems that you were, but ok let’s just move on and focus on the issue at hand which is hard drugs, not marijuana.

The centers are being funded through the state marijuana revenue.

We can play the whatabouts, and whatifs game all day.

Your title is misleading. I fixed it for you.
 Quoting: Seer777

What is misleading?

Oregon decriminalized all drugs last night, did they not?
 Quoting: Rorschach Watchmen

I meant thread. You did mention that decriminalizing..is not legalizing further on.

This will keep addicts out of jail and in treatment where they belong.

I think it is a win-win.
 Quoting: Seer777

The police going to take them to the treatment centers now?

If you think a homeless person with no address is gonna check themselves into sobriety then I think you are naive. I’m sorry but that’s just asinine thinking
 Quoting: Rorschach Watchmen

In the middle of winter they will ALL want to be checking themselves in! Inpatient treatment for this kinda stuff cost a fortune and is riddled with corruption- enter the 'SUD' (substance use disorder) counselor... (in Oregon anyways) your 'counselor' can and usually is, a prior addict themselves, has no formalized training and the position/title does not even require a college degree! The blind leading the blind... and the 'inpatient' places are rat/lice infested houses where everyone is banging each other. The outpatient 'groups' are nothing more that a bunch of dysfunctional addicts getting together to compare notes and hook-up with one another... a lovely situation for sure.

OUT FUCKING STANDING!!!

Not only does it reduce the scope of gov but it give individual freedoms back. The Constitution was never intended to control your life to that extent.

In fact maybe all drugs seized in states that it's still illegal should go to Oregon and handed out free of charge.

The only long term downside that I see is A)whether to provide medical services to ODs.

Man Portland is finished

Imagine all the junkies and heroin addicts laying all over the street

Meth possession legalized now!?!?

Holy shit

It’s going to be worse than San Fransicko

I’m glad I spent time in Portland while it was good

Yeah

So junkies can lay all over Portland now homeless shooting up heroin and snorting up meth without a care in the world

And it’s going to be a magnet for other homeless junkies to go there by the tens of thousands

It will be apocalyptic

I’m more confused why you’re roping in marijuana, which is already legal in Oregon and Washington, with heroin/meth. Than why a dealer would waste enough heroin on an ounce of weed, instead of just selling it outright which would net him more than that ounce did.

You don’t make sense

the problem is the taxes will be so high that users will continue to buy through the black market, I think Colorado is the only state that has been smart so far but when the bills for the pork spending need to be paid they always raise the so called sin taxes first!!
