Seattle's "Summer of Love" has become the "Autumn of Effluent" for one neighborhood. After spending $11 million to clean up Thornton Creek, Seattle city officials are now getting complaints from nearby residents that a large homeless encampment along the creek has produced more pollution than ever along with a thriving crime, drug, and violence problem. Local residents repeatedly call 911 to report thefts and violence, but the city seems unable to help. 'Cause, you know, where are the homeless criminals supposed to go? Certainly not to the neighborhoods where city officials live, right? [ link to www.kiro7.com (secure)] |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 78333491 I think the Chinese would run it much better than the dumb shits that are running it now. I'll ask next time I go there, which should be sometime in the 25th century. |
