I was looking at the staked ZIL in Atomic last night and here is something I didn't know that I learned in the staking tutorial there

You earn ZIL rewards through the staking and then you have to "claim" the rewards.

In order to claim the rewards you need to have at least 15 ZIL tokens unstaked in your regular Atomic Wallet.

I didn't keep enough out when I staked it so I had to trade for some, and I haven't traded small amounts of anything in Atomic so I didn't know they had minimum amounts of coins you have use to trade.

So I ended up trading almost 50 XLM for ZIL just to have 15 for the ability to claim the rewards.

That was only about 4 dollars so no big deal, it just seemed like a lot since I didn't really need to use that many, I just had to.

It doesn't matter as I have plenty of both coins both XLM and ZIL.

Here is something else, you have to claim your rewards before you unstake your ZIL. If you unstake your ZIL without claiming your rewards you will lose your reward tokens.

As more people are staking the percentage has gone down some from the initial high of almost 30% but it is still neat to see the rewards tokens piling up in a short period of time.

Everything about dealing with crypto seems kind of adventurous and risky but that feels pretty good given the state of things in the world today.

Coinbase does not accept Zilliqa.

You are correct. What I did was buy XLM or something and send it to Atomic Wallet, desktop version on a new refurbished laptop that I don't use for anything else, only cryptocurrency.

In Atomic Wallet I swapped for ZIL.

Then I opted in for the staking option.

It is fun to stop thinking about politics and go back to thinking about cryptocurrency.
