The bible teaches Predestination.
PROOF 1

God sees people before they were even formed on earth and the details of their lives are written down in God's book before they even begin.

Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be - Psalm 139:16

So before our lives even began, our days (and everything we do in those days) were written down in the "book".

PROOF 2

People are appointed their roles on earth even before he was born.

Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.” - Jeremiah 1:5

This proves that everyone's life was pre-ordained BEFORE they were born.

PROOF 3

There exists a book that was written BEFORE the creation of the world which contains a list of people who go to heaven. If a person's name is not in it, he goes to hell.

...everyone whose name has not been written before the foundation of the world in the book of life - Revelation 13:8

And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. - Revelation 20:15

Thus, judgement in the future is based on the contents of the "book" that was written in the PAST.

PROOF 4

In several places in the bible (both OT and NT), humans are compared to vessels created by the potter.

He said, “Can I not do with you, Israel, as this potter does?” declares the Lord. “Like clay in the hand of the potter, so are you in my hand, Israel. - Jeremiah 18:5

But who are you, O man, to answer back to God? Will what is molded say to its molder, “Why have you made me like this?” Has the potter no right over the clay, to make out of the same lump one vessel for honorable use and another for dishonorable use? - Romans 9:20-21

Thus some people are better off than others because people's lots in lives are decided by God.

_________________________________________

"But isn't it unfair that some people are predestined to suffer on earth and then end up in hell?"

No. Nobody is created evil but people choose to do evil. God knows what people will do BEFORE they are created. And thus, writes down their lives on the basis of that knowledge.

Some souls are just inclined to evil and will do evil even if they were placed in the best circumstances. And some souls are good and will do good even if they were placed in the worst circumstances.

"What about instances where God changes his mind about not destroying nations when they repent?"

Nations are not the same as individual souls.
God first intended to destroy Nineveh but didn't when they repented. But that sequence of events occur in our timeline or our perception. God knew even before He sent Jonah that Nineveh would repent. But still sent Jonah on his mission because Jonah had to experience it, and the Ninevehians had to experience repentance.

Another example, the nation of Egypt during the time of Moses were the bad guys because of its ruler, the pharaoh. Yet, individuals in Egypt were good or bad, for example, the midwives who saved the Israelite babies. The pharaoh was drowned because of his evil, but Egypt continued to exist, and later God would bless Egypt call Egypt "My people" (Isaiah 19:25).

God knows best.

Exactly.

Only because God knows what someone will do, dosen't mean he made him to do so.

It's like with a father and child.
Only because I know my child will put it's hand on a hot oven, dosen't mean that I made him to do so.

If our lives are Predetermined, then how can someone be saved by repentance and God's Grace...

The most obvious reference is Ephesians 2:8

For by grace are you saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God.

Faith is the gift of God.

Re: The bible teaches Predestination.
Another important proof for predestination:

PROOF 5

Even if people have plans for themselves, they cannot choose how long they will live. This is seen in the parable of the rich fool.
God said to him when he was planning on expanding his business:

“But God said to him, ‘You fool!(B) This very night your life will be demanded from you. Then who will get what you have prepared for yourself?’ - Luke 12:20

Clearly, the man desired to live longer and enjoy life. But it was decreed for him to DIE before the next morning. That's the very definition of predestination. How can free will exist if you can't even decide the length of your own life?

Re: The bible teaches Predestination.
How can people say "I have free will" when they cannot choose the date and place of their birth, their parents, the outcomes of events in their lives?

If your will is to live a life of comfort but you suffer with pain, grief, poverty and anxiety, how can you say "I have free will".

You don't. You're just assigned a place on earth and you must live it out.

The only thing you can choose is whether or not you will repent and submit to God.

But God knows the final outcome of four life anyway. He will still prompt you to repent and believe. If you do, congrats because you underwent the EXPERIENCE of listening and repenting and believing.

If you don't, then that's an EXPERIENCE by itself. You would have proved you were rebellious and stubborn and are worthy of punishment.

On the day of judgement we are all handed books containing our deeds. Those deeds are based on OUR experiences, what we chose to think and do.

Its like watching your kids playing in the front yard, and being able to accurately predict what each one will do next.

God has the ability to predict not only seconds ahead, but lifetimes ahead. Its not predestination. Its just obvious to Him.

Yes souls come from Heaven, not earth. And since God designed and created those souls Himself, He would obviously know everything about His people and what type of soul they have, pretty much from the moment of their creation.

I’d imagine God could look at an infant and pretty accurately determine what their personality and behaviour would be like throughout their entire life. It’s not even predestination, it’s just a result of His omniscience and perfect knowledge and understanding of how souls work.

Re: The bible teaches Predestination.
By means of his servant Moses, God said to the nation of Israel: “I have put life and death before you, . . . and you must choose life . . . by loving Jehovah your God, by listening to his voice and by sticking to him; for he is your life and the length of your days.” (Deuteronomy 30:19, 20) Had God predestinated each Israelite either to love him and gain life or to disregard him and merit death, His words would have been both meaningless and insincere. Do you believe that God, “a lover of justice” and the very personification of love, would act in such an arbitrary way?—Psalm 37:28; 1 John 4:8.

God’s appeal to his servants to choose life applies even more so to us today, for the fulfillment of Bible prophecy indicates that we are rapidly approaching the end of the present system of things. (Matthew 24:3-9; 2 Timothy 3:1-5) How do we choose life? We do so in essentially the same way as the ancient Israelites did.

We choose life by “loving Jehovah,” by “listening to his voice,” and by “sticking to him.” Of course, we can only do these things when we know God as a person and understand his requirements for us. In prayer to God, Jesus Christ said: “This is eternal life, to know you, the only true God, and him whom you have sent—Jesus Christ.”—Italics ours; John 17:3, Phillips.

That precious knowledge can be found in the pages of the Holy Bible, rightly called the Word of God. (John 17:17; 2 Timothy 3:16) Indeed, this spiritual gift is a tangible evidence that God has not predestined our future but wants us to make informed choices based on information he has provided.—Isaiah 48:17, 18.

By means of the Bible, God is, in effect, saying to us: ‘This is my purpose for mankind and the earth, and this is what you should do to gain everlasting life. It is now up to you to decide whether to listen to me or disregard me.’ Yes, how perfectly God balances his powers of foreordination with his respect for our free will! You choose life “by listening to [God’s] voice and by sticking to him”.
