Why so many threads saying "Where the Stimulus at," but not ONE saying Who's hiring?" | |

My intention wasn't to offend anyone, so if I did, apologies, and have a great weekend! Oh, and R3ill3y, you really need to get over yourself - you really just aren't worth responding to, but I'll throw you this one last bone. I have only EVER had one account, and I don't post as anyone but me - you just really DO have that many people that dislike your childish, whiny, make-believe trash posts. Grow up, stop blaming the world for what you are failing to do, and maybe you'll get out from under your landlord (literally, likely.) Oh, and you'd lose weight if you left off of the cheetos and hot pockets - you should try it! Night everyone! ad ignorantiam - The assumption of a conclusion or fact based primarily on lack of evidence to the contrary. Usually best described by, “absence of evidence is not evidence of absence.” |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 78937606 United States 10/17/2020 09:44 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I don't post threads often, but I'm curious. Quoting: MountainTux NLI Every time I come to GLP, I see a never ending stream of "Where's my stimulus check" posts, finger pointing that Trump is holding it up, or Pelosi is holding it up, or USPS or WHATEVE the case may be. I have not once, not EVER, seen a post that goes like this... "Hi! With everything going sideways, I'm in need of money and the economy is all messed up right now. Does anybody know who's hiring in <insert your State or Province here> and how to get in touch with them, or the URL for regional job banks?" Just curious - I understand that some people are really hurting, and I'm trying to help locally where I can. I'm just wondering why the focus seems to be on free government money, rather than getting back on our own two feet and making our OWN economic recovery? As I've mentioned before, the businesses that I see closing, other than in the entertainment sector, are only closing because they CANNOT FIND WORKERS willing to hire on, even with good wages and bonuses. People LITERALLY saying "I'd rather keep getting CERB (Canadian Free Shit money) then make a bit more for working... no thanks!" Just wondering what logic propels the constant questions about checks, rather than about jobs. why would anyone want to work for a business that elects to close up shop when they can't find labor??? A smart manager downsizes and operates in a manner where he or she can manage backlog until the labor market adjust to that which they can hire additional workers. If a business cannot OPERATE without labour, then they can't very well stay open, can they? That's somewhat of a silly question. Nobody's out there going hmm, I just want to lose my business and savings by keeping my doors open to take jobs that I CANNOT complete. Silliness. They can operate a business on their own labor, poor small-brained primate. Look up the definition of "downsize" before you speculate on things for which you suffer powerful ignorance. Poor poor primate. |
