Would this affect mid central Illinois at all if it becomes a large quake or will it be more south? I have felt only 3 quakes in my life that I remember and they were 4-5 scale quakes...small. Just wondering if I should prepare?

When I lived in So Cal, checking for missing pets was the most reliable indicator of a quake soon. Usually if it went up by say double in a week, that would mean a quake would happen within a week. It's not a guarantee at all, but a good indicator.

We're also sleeping in our tents for Sukkot...And last night was actually a fabulous deep sleep for me! Lol. Maybe it was the melatonin....:)

I think it is safe to say that people are generally very off in their vibe and intensity in the past couple of months. People are quick to become hostile and rude and generally producing a cloud of upset as they walk around. Could be magnetics, could be all the riots and Covid lockdowns. Or some of everything. But it feels better to stay away from people in general.

At least you didn't live in Watsonville. That place got seriously fucked. I lived in San Jose at the time, that was a wild trip. I'd rather go through an earthquake than a Tornado or Hurricane, at least with an earthquake theres no anticipation and once you realize you're in a earthquake it's over in a second or two, it doesn't hang around.

Make sure the RV is parked out of the tree fall zone.

In the New Madrid watch out for sinkholes. Weird little ponds or the farm trash hole were pointers to sinkhole throats.
