It's a new requirement for bars and restaurants in Toronto. They have to “reduce the noise of background music to no louder than normal conversation.” Bars and restaurants in Toronto are also now required to collect contact information for each person, not just one person per table like it was before. [ link to toronto.ctvnews.ca (secure)] I'm guessing that they think of the tunes are loud, people whill exhale stronger when talking louder, or lean closer together to hear each other, so that would potentially spread the scary covid. Lame asses they are. It doesn't make any sense to me that we have to wear masks to enter any building here, but people can go eat in a restaurant and take off their masks? Do people have to wear masks in bars?
