The school administrators who dreamt up these crazy, draconian controls on the children are deluding themselves if they think they will completely halt infections or any risk of same.

They don't seem to understand that viruses cannot be easily controlled, nor can they be totally eliminated.

Kids need social contact, it's crucially necessary for proper development. By depriving them of that in the name of controlling a virus which barely affects children, school administrators are imposing severe psychological and emotional damage that may well be permanent and leave the children unable to function in society as adults.

It is disgusting. But to be honest, there was a lot to be disgusted with the public schools even before this. Pulled my daughter out last year for home schooling. No hassle straight A student who can wake up at 8:20 and be online at 8:30 for her first class. Compared to getting up before 6 am to catch a 6:20 am bus to get to school at 7 and then sit in a drug infested lunch room until 8:40 to head to her first class at 8:45. Where half her class can’t speak English and half falls asleep.
