6 quarter here. been using it for a year now. best kitchen purchase in a long while. opens up a whole new avenue of a very fast preparation of a meal.

read up online and seek out what you find to be a tasty recipe. literally a thousand ideas for a delicious meal are at your fingertips.

my favorite to date is pork chops in a mushroom gravy...

You need meat, and what ever else your into.

The key is meat.

If you like hardboiled or deviled eggs, you're in for a treat. The Instant Pot makes hard boiled eggs that peel like a dream.

I've made chicken noodle soup, but it was so thick by the time I was done with it that I can't really call it soup. I need to practice!

Okay, but do the potatoes come out like they do if you microwave them (texture-wise)?

potatoes come out fine in instant pot

3 lbs red potatoes quartered
1/2 cup water
1 stick of butter (1/4 lb)
1 bunch of green onions, or scallions
season to taste with black pepper and pink salt

set 6qt insta pot for 5 minutes and pressure cook, when done
vent steam quickly, stir, and enjoy...

I don’t actually know where the cord is.

Sounds like a winner! One pot. I like it.

But I would add more sauce at the end, I think. I have a thing for sauce.

I do have a plastic potato smasher I can use without having to worry about scratching the pot. I'll give it a try :)

Don't worry about scratching the stainless steel pot. there is no teflon coating to fret over

This lady has a good channel, and once you have boiled eggs in the Instant Pot, you will never boil them on the stove top again !

Frozen chicken tenders cook in the same amount of time as white rice.

How is it so easy to clean though???

Wish I had instant pot

Yes. Put the rice and water in (a little less water than the rice calls for because chicken juice will count as some of the water), then some frozen chicken tenders (real chicken meat not breaded tenders) on top then seasonings. 8 mins on high pressure then let it for like 5 mins before you open it.

over a year and dozens of uses, no worries about cleaning up. you might want to consider buying seal gaskets for different uses.

for example, a sweet tasting banana bread recipe will be tainted by a previously made spicy taco recipe.

so, buy a few gaskets and use accordingly

Instant Pot is bullshit. Get a real pressure cooker. I'll be able to can stuff when the power is out.
