Quoting: Anonymous Coward 78007737 Total shill. Ivermectin is extremely safe and effective. The dosing / safety window is so large that indigenous populations can manage administration without oversight. True. When given at the prescibed dose its very safe, unlike the UK vaccine. |

What really shocked me was a single dose had something like a month hang time for preventing infection from covid as well as internal AND external blood sucking parasites. Seems like a pretty important drug to have handy. I think the word is getting out enough that they will have trouble keeping this away from the public. Such a shame that America is lagging other countries in finding safe and cheap ways to combat this bug. Last Edited by JustmeTX on 09/16/2020 08:55 PM Justme |

User ID: 79206890 United States 09/16/2020 10:40 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Trying to figure out correct dosage on the Equimax horse paste of 1.87% ivermectin. According to a comment below the video, the dose approved by WHO for Ivermectin use as an anti-parasitic is the dose doctors are using for COVID19. The WHO dosing is: 200 micrograms/kg of body weight. That works out to 3 milligrams/15kg. 100 lb person = 9 milligrams single dose Ivermectin 200 lb person = 18 milligrams dose. So if you weigh 150 lbs for example, 13.5 mg of the active ingredient. The tube of stuff I am looking at contains 6.08 grams of paste containing 1.87% active ingredient. so ,0135 gram/.0187 = .72 grams of the paste for a 150 lb person. This is .72/6.08 = 12 % of the tube. The tube shows calibrations for weight of the horse. Max contents says 1250 lb horse. .12 X 1250 lbs = 150 lbs. Therefore, the weights printed on the plunger correspond to human weights as well. Just set the plunger for your body weight and should be the right amount. Disclaimer: the doc in the video said not to take meds meant for animals. I think that is just covering her liability, but I am not a doctor. ANyhow, that is the dosage I come up with. Hope that helps. What a great post. Chris Martensen has talked about ivermectin a lot. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 79310433 And isn't it just some bullshit case of the sniffles anyway? Hydroxychloroquine as I understand it, prevents the virus spike protein from penetrating the cell. Hence it needs to be given early, before too many cells are infected. Ivermectin works INSIDE of the cells to sabotage the viral reproduction mechanism. And it seems to protect for 2 to 4 weeks from a single dose. HCQ must be taken for 4-5 days and at the time of infection. (and requires Zinc to function as I understand it). Not sure if it acts as a 30 day preventative or is only a short term treatment drug. I don't know anything about oleander. First I have heard of it. Here is the World Health Org. writeup on treatment of Onch. in Africa. Onchocerciasis – or 'river blindness' – is a parasitic disease caused by the filarial worm Onchocerca volvulus. It is transmitted through the bites of infected Simulium blackflies, which breed in fast-flowing streams and rivers. [link to www.who.int (secure)] "Ivermectin The treatment for onchocerciasis is ivermectin (brand name Mectizan®). Unlike previous treatments, which had serious – sometimes fatal – side effects, ivermectin is safe and can be used on a wide scale. It is also a very effective treatment, and has single-handedly transformed the lives of millions of people suffering from onchocerciasis since its introduction in 1987." "Dosage Ivermectin is taken orally as tablets. A single dose of 150 to 200 µg/kg body weight needs to be taken annually to be effective. The dosage depends on a person’s body mass, which can be simply calculated according to height. Availability In 1987, the manufacturer of ivermectin – Merck & Co., Inc. – declared that it would donate ivermectin free of charge for as long as is needed. This unprecedented donation is administered through the Mectizan Donation Program, which works with ministries of health and other partners to distribute the drug" I suppose this could explain why Covid has not killed so many people in Africa. The parts of Africa that are dealing with dangerous parasites are likely already prophylactically protected by Ivermectin. Thank you for answering the question. Interesting on the availability. About 3 years ago, they pulled all liquid pure Ivermectin from the feedstores, animal husbandry sites. Now, one needs a prescription from a vet. Up until that time, it was readily available for use in animals. I am wondering if all this was planned about 3 years ago..and they wanted to eliminate it from the public at large. Note: It is hard to even get a bottle from your vet. |
