Re: Prayer Thread Part 3.
Hey friends...So the guy I usually work with has been in trouble with alcohol issues for a few years. He fully quit drinking and has been doing really well for about a year.
His grandma, who lives with him, has gotten rapid Alzheimer's. She accuses everyone of stealing her money, taking her car, etc. So he was arrested for DUI not driving, standing in a parking lot where he was meeting his uncle to take his grandma for a few days.
He did drink, but they've got nothing to show he was driving drunk.
He has court tomorrow and I would like prayers for him to be given leniency. He's been doing really well. He does need to not drink...but he doesn't need to go to jail either.
If you feel led to pray for him, his name is Douglas.
Thanks!!!!

And, of course, you're all lifted up to the Almighty every day. So many needs...He has you in the palm of his hand and loves you more than you can love your children....which is amazing to even contemplate.

I know there are much larger problems in the world and people's lives today but I would like to ask for a prayer. My cat we missing on Thursday. He did not come in for dinner like always, and I looked for him until 1 am. Friday I had to go to work but resumed the search when I got home. In 5 years he has never gone very far. Friday, Saturday and Sunday myself, my kids, and my neighbors all spread out in the Federal forest behind my house and search for hours. There was no sign of him, no sign of a struggle, not even the traps that I set with tuna were disturbed. The forest seems devoid of life.

We are devastated and praying for his safe return or some clue as to where to look.

Thank you for your prayers, I will be praying for you all as well.

Thank you all for your prayers! My work friend was given a machine he has to blow in every four hours to check for alcohol, but no jail unless he screws that up, which he says he will not.

I truly appreciate you prayer warriors, and pray for blessings from the Most High to manifest upon you and give you healing, and deep shalom.

Re: Prayer Thread Part 3.
Prayers needed !

I just got back from the hospital, and when I finish this post, I am going to lay down, finally.
I fell around 5pm. There is a step from my back breakfast room to the kitchen. I heard Mary K's car pull up the driveway, and looked out the window in the back room. I was cooking dinner for us. I went back to the kitchen but tripped on the step. I landed, thankfully, on a thick rug and didn't hit my head. But, my right leg was twisted in a left angle.I dislocated my right hip.
I slowly crawled to the kitchen counter, and got my phone, and sent Mary K a quick text for help. She ran in and got me off the floor. We went to Urgent Care. They x-rayed me and said my hip was dislocated, jammed straight up in the socket. They told me they couldn't do anything about it there, and I had to go to the hospital for them to put it back in place. So, after a bit of bickering, I did go to the hospital. They did x-rays and a cat scan, which ruled out a fracture.
They told me that because of my arthritis, they couldn't do anything with the hip, and tried like heck for me to have a hip replacement. They told me they would keep me if I had a fracture, or couldn't walk. I told them I wasn't staying, since they won't put my hip back in place, I was going to my Chiropractor in the morning.
So, here I am, in some real pain. I can't walk on my right leg. I got a walker with a seat here, and will be using that to get around the house. I sorta drag my right leg, as it isn't working too good right now.
Please pray that the Chiropractor can fix this hip for me tomorrow !

FYI. What ended my career as an EMT 37 years ago, was lifting a large patient into the back of an ambulance, which broke and dislocated my right hip, ruptured 2 discs in my spine, and tore up my right knee. It took me a long time to recover from that, but I never had the strength back all the way like before.

John 5 - Springtime on a sabbath day by the sheep gate, did they also scold/accuse the angel that went down and troubled the water? :)

After this there was a feast of the Judes; and Jesus went up to Jerusalem.
Now there is at Jerusalem by the sheep market a pool, which is called in the Hebrew tongue Bethesda, having five porches.
In these lay a great multitude of impotent folk, of blind, halt, withered, waiting for the moving of the water.
For an angel went down at a certain season into the pool, and troubled the water: whosoever then first after the troubling of the water stepped in was made whole of whatsoever disease he had.
And a certain man was there, which had an infirmity thirty and eight years.
When Jesus saw him lie, and knew that he had been now a long time in that case, he saith unto him, Wilt thou be made whole?
The impotent man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me.
Jesus saith unto him, Rise, take up thy bed, and walk.
And immediately the man was made whole, and took up his bed, and walked: and on the same day was the sabbath.

The Judes therefore said unto him that was cured, It is the sabbath day: it is not lawful for thee to carry thy bed.
He answered them, He that made me whole, the same said unto me, Take up thy bed, and walk.
And therefore did the Judes persecute Jesus, and sought to slay him, because he had done these things on the sabbath day.
But Jesus answered them, My Father worketh hitherto, and I work.
Therefore the Judes sought the more to kill him, because he not only had broken the sabbath, but said also that God was his Father, making himself equal with God.
Behold, I send an Angel before thee, to keep thee in the way, and to bring thee into the place which I have prepared.

I will be calling the Chiropractor soon. I am letting Mary K get some sleep. She was up until after 3am. All of my daughters were with me until 1am. I sent Elizabeth and Alexandra home at that time, as both had to work in the morning, plus Elizabeth had kids to take to school before work.
I am so angry with the hospital for pushing a hip replacement instead of putting the dislocated hip joint back in place. The one doctor was really on my case, telling me I needed to get the hip replacement, then I would go to a rehab/nursing home for about 3 months, and it's like I was so infuriated by what he said I almost, or actually wanted to, forget I was a Christian for a minute or 2 and tell him exactly what I thought of that!
The fact that they left me in pain, with a dislocated hip, because I refused hip replacement surgery, more than totally galls me!

I really do need prayers, my friends !!!

Psalm 29 [A Psalm of David.]

Give unto the LORD, O you mighty, give unto the LORD glory and strength.
Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name; worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness.
The voice of the LORD is upon the waters: the God of glory thunders: the LORD is upon many waters.
The voice of the LORD is powerful; the voice of the LORD is full of majesty.
The voice of the LORD breaks the cedars; yea, the LORD breaks the cedars of Lebanon.
He makes them also to skip like a calf; Lebanon and Sirion like a young wild ox.
The voice of the LORD divides the flames of fire.
The voice of the LORD shakes the wilderness; the LORD shakes the wilderness of Kadesh.
The voice of the LORD makes the hinds to calve, and strips bare the forests: and in his temple does every one speak of his glory.
The LORD sits upon the flood; yea, the LORD sits as King forever.
The LORD will give strength unto his people; the LORD will bless his people with peace.
