User ID: 34212924 United States 11/28/2021 01:31 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Hello, prayer warriors. I don't check in here very often, but I am always happy to know that you are here. My family could use some prayers, if you would. A couple weeks ago, our amazing 16-year-old daughter spent a few days in the children's hospital and was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. Talk about a completely out-of-left-field shock. She is doing fine, I suppose. She's active in her treatment and is taking it seriously, but we all know this will be 6-10 times per day, every day, for the rest of her life -- and that is going to get old, fast. I, on the other hand, am a bit of an emotional wreck. So many things to think about, organize, learn, and worry about. I just started one of my first threads on the subject, looking for suggestions, if any of you are interested. Thread: Seeking suggestions for newly diagnosed type 1 diabetes to halt progression and extend the honeymoon period Thank you for your prayers and for JUST BEING HERE. "For with thee is the fountain of life: in thy light shall we see light." |

Keeping all here as well as Renaissance Woman and her daughter in my prayer. Renaissance Woman, she should not have to deal with finger sticks, a CGM may be best. I use a Freestyle Libre 2 to monitor my blood glucose. I have heard the deafening silence. User ID: 74919019 United States 11/30/2021 06:22 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Prayers spoken for all here; for Kim for akaSuzanne and all needs. I'm excited to see the rental home this afternoon, I'm 'champing at the bit' wanting to go see it. My cats will be upset since they won't be able to go outside for five or six months and then only with supervision so they don't try to return to this home before their 'feline GPS' resets to their new home.
