Steve Harvey, Oprah Winfrey, Michael Jordan, (to cite a few examples) seem to have figured it out.

They are doing quite well for black people. Enjoying the same freedom we all have, to achieve what they have attained, through effort, work and dedication.

By comparison, I, as a white guy could claim that I am disadvantaged, because a whole lot of black people have better quality of life than I do, but it wouldn't be true.

We all have equal opportunity to achieve similar success, but a large percentage of us don't put forth the effort to do so.

The fault lies within each of us. No one else is to blame.

Does that mean that they are systemically racist for being better off than me?

NO, but there are a lot of poor people that think that rich people are scum because they have more than they do.

Being created equal, doesn't mean people remain so.

Some achieve greater success in life than others, even though we all come into this world naked, screaming and helpless.

NO one owes anyone else anything. People of all color are doing quit well, and skin tone has nothing to do with it.

I don't deny blacks were treated poorly...so was every other race under the sun.

They made LBJ cave on civil rights, then turned around and instituted policies (housing projects, affirmative action, welfare etc) to keep black people poor and "on the plantation".

The Dems have become the literal definition of "helping enough to control and subjugate".

Affirmative action basically calls black people too stupid to get the job based on their abilities.

I have a friend who's an alcoholic & all the welfare he receives has utterly destroyed him.

He used to rise to the occasion...but now he doesn't have to. His quality of life is shit! Some times he can't even scrape up cents for something he needs. Yet he gets just enough to somehow scrape by so he keeps voting democrat (stays on the plantation). He's become a blood sucking parasite and complains that others don't give him more than they do.

He's mid-fifties just like me...I can't imagine what's going to happen to him in the next few years :(
