He fought like hell, resisting. He said a couple times he didn't want to go back to that, or to go back there, which obviously means prison.

I think a taser would have been a much better idea, to get him into the car. But on the other hand, in the first video, he says "please don't shoot" many times, so the officer may have been looking for a way to avoid shooting.

If they weren't going to tase him, then once he went limp for 30 seconds or so to make sure it wasn't fake, I suppose they should have loaded him into the car and taken him in immediately. He may have needed medical attention. But before he went limp, they could not just let him up. He would probably have gone back to being uncontrollable.

He didn't seem to know the cops, despite him and one of the cops working adjacent shifts as bouncers at the same joint.

If you're going to make this all about the cops' behavior here, you have to be against the idea that police orders must be complied with. And that's what the current movement is.
