People need to look at the context in which the UN was born. It was 1945. Just after the war where the forces of fascism were just defeated and seen as the great satan. The UN went into partnership with the Soviet Union in founding its documents to be the foundation of a world government. Big influence from leftists/Marxists/Communists.
