It's to be 70% of wages. Not sure what the cap is. People have to be out looking for jobs, ffs! My daughter is a PhD in engineering and got offed from her job back in April. She's found a new one in her field. That kind of job is more difficult to find than the service sector. Grocery stores, fast food, big box stores - they are all still hiring. Nobody who makes unemployment at or above what they were making is going to bother to look. There has to be a reason.

I'm not sure what service jobs have to do with Trump. Trump didn't invent fast food, Amazon, and grocery stores. Because we sent so much of our manufacturing overseas, we have become a service economy. THAT'S precisely what Trump has been fighting w/China about, and trying to bring those jobs back. In addition, a steady huge supply of refugees/illegals coming in to this country, untrained and willing to work for low wages, has kept our minimum wage low. He has also been fighting that. Fewer available workers and better-trained workers mean a higher wage. For too long it's been - make a product overseas, sell it here cheaply, keep the extra money. Hire waitstaff for cheap and keep the extra money. You think Bezos can't afford to pay his workers more? Of course he can, but he doesn't need to because supply and demand has all these unskilled people willing to work for peanuts and he makes out like a king.
