Cordoba was Muslim from around 750 to 1450 A.D.

Many of the mosques were converted to Churches in the Reconquista.

Go back and read the OP. The Cordoba cathedral first was a Visigoth church.

When the Muslims took Spain in the 8th Century, they took it from the Visigoths. They were Germanic invaders that conquered the Roman Empire and later adopted Christianity.

Muslims called the land Al-Andalus
