And if he helped him up and he was hurt they would blame fedex and there would be lawsuits.

Democrats have ruined this country... look at what their actions have done... now no one wants to help another for fear the way they can and will spin it.

I also wouldn’t do anything... in this democratic satin world you are damned if you do and damned if you don’t...

He may have said I cannot touch you at all due to policy but do you need me to call someone to help you? These are bizarre times - we can still attempt to help buy you have to be extreme situational awareness in all things at this current time.

thats the way to do it..lot of ambulance chasers out there..

you dont touch fallen people but you get them help.

i broke my leg once and bone was poking through the skin.

He's not allowed to.

If he helped the man up and he fell down again, FedEx could get sued for the injuries from the second fall ...even if the FedEx guy was long gone.

Lawyers love to file frivolous lawsuits against large companies.

If a customer slips and falls at Wal-Mart , management will fire any employee that helps them back to their feet.

About 15 years ago I witnessed a traffic accident , I stopped to see if they were hurt...they sued my company, they claimed I wouldn't have stopped if I wasn't somehow responsible for the accident.
(Them doing 90mph was the reason....they blew past me like I was standing still and when they swerved to avoid rear-ending a pickup they lost control and went into the culvert.)

So most companies have a strict "dont get involved" policy.

Yes definitely. I so hope we get more of the story later and that the guy called for help after he got back in his truck?

I would’ve helped him. The family would probably sue me for his medical bills, at least. Then, I’d be bankrupt. I still would’ve helped him.

No good deed goes unpunished, but the alternative is letting your heart grow cold and dark, sacrificing soul and spirit for an imaginary, temporary sense of safety.

If the races were revered you can be sure this video would be plastered all over the media for days, and the CEO of FedEx would personally issue a statement throwing his employee under the bus and possibly even promising disciplinary action or “white privilege training”.

Re: Fed Ex driver refuses to help elderly man that fell on his porch
One thing I've learned in life... Don't get involved on other people's drama. I used to go out of my way to help people, and it has a tendency to backfire. Not always, but more so than not to where I decided I won't get involved.

I did however run up on a guy beating this girl in his car... Called 911 for the police to check out. Parked a ways in front on them and kept my eye on the situation. Dude could have had a gun for all I know .. I had second thought about stopping .. but if he killed her I couldn't live with myself so I stayed and called police. I had to leave but wh n I came back 3 cop cars surrounded the guy. I don't know the outcome.

Yeah it sucks people don't help others. I used to think it was because everyone just assumes the other person has a phone. I can see why people don't want to get involved. I don't expect anyone to help me if I needed it.
