Boeing was one of the finest, if not THE finest airplane manufacturer in the world... and then failed former commercial airliner manufacturer McDonnell Douglas bought in and it was all downhill from there. It started almost from the outset of the merger... the 737NG and the 787 are also total crap. It is just a miracle that more accidents haven't happened. This is what happens when you have the culture of a spoiled rotten defense contractor running a commercial airline business. The FAA is totally corrupt as well (U.S.government of course) and is 50% responsible for this. |

The MD-11 (MD for McDonnell Douglas) was not total crap, in fact it had the first commercial Flight Management System on it. You could push a button, and the plane could taxi, take off, fly to destination and land all with no further human intervention. All Boeing has to do is stop making this MAX crap and go back to making any of its other aircraft. It's like the company itself is trying to fail. If they keep this up we'll start buying Airbus 320's again, or the new Chinese equivalent. . DON'T VAX, PROPHYLAX! ____________ There is no anger in Me: If one offers Me thorns and thistles, I will march to battle against him, And set all of them on fire. But if he holds fast to My refuge, He makes Me his friend; He makes Me his friend. (Isaiah 27:4-5) |

Boeing is and always has been my favorite to fly. But the company has lost sight of what it once was. Also to blame is the pilot training, particularly in the developing world. A lot of the pilots in Asia, Africa and the Middle East are very weak at best. Some paid their way through flight school. Lots of fake licenses, or pilots who were sons of the elite who paid others to take their training for them. This is a secret of the industry. The pilot that flies you in Pakistan may not even have a real license. The problems with the MAX could have been handled by competent pilots. Sad that it wasn't so... |

The crashes happened due to failures in the sensor. This isn't an uncommon problem, but MCAS only takes its input from 1 sensor on each flight. The runaway trim could have been avoided if the pilots were told how to turn the MCAS system off. It was a training issue. Also there are so many bells and whistles going off in the cockpit that it creates confusion and the pilots simply did not have the time or know-how to react. My brother in law worked for them for years, eventually retired with a good pension. He said it started downhill when they installed the "moving line". Like auto manufacturers do. He said quality took a turn for the worse when they did that. Since then, management moved their headquarters out of Washington state, and no one really knows what's going on. Then they started the outsourcing of code for the planes. He said that was their worst move ever. I believe in science NOT religion. Anonymous Coward User ID: 79119701 New Zealand 07/18/2020 02:39 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Don’t fly third world country airlines. The requirements to actually be able to fly just aren’t there. This is why none crashed here in the states. Our pilots are the real deal. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 76793049 See, locally sold smart phones in South Korea or China, batteries last for several days without being charged. Yet the one they export to other countries, a couple of phone calls bring down the battery power to below 50%. It could be the same with 737 MAX. Evil is everywhere in the world. Those planes that are operated by countries other than the country of their production, might have been sabotaged to cause the planes crash. |

If you want to use giant engines likethat, the airplane has to be a high wing design like the Antonov158.
