What band do you hate the most?

Fucking Green Day and the American Idiot song. I murder the radio dial whenever I hear those fucking sell outs.

It's amazing that these jackasses were even capable of making a "concept" album (i.e. 'American Idiot')

In a way, Green Day are a "progressive" rock group. On their latest album the band learned a new chord. Now they know a total of four.

And they say The Doors weren't good musicians. You can dislike their style or whatever but they are very solid classically trained musicians. Kreiger is known as a legendary guitarist able to play essentially anything including flamenco. Manzerek was able to lay down the bassline while on the keys. Densmore is an amazing drummer with incredible sense of timing. Morrison has a classic voice that was able to be gentle to his famous primal screams. They were able to cover a wide range of music and are still listened to and loved by many almost 60 years later.

May we assume you include your own opinion in that assessment?

Ray Manzarek played a Hammond organ [as did I] and it's not too tough to "lay down a bassline" using your left hand AND your feet. You've obviously never seen a professional theater organist play a piped Wurlitzer where those feet do as much work as the hands.

FYI: 60 years is a drop in the bucket to the hundreds of years audiences have been thrilled by Bach, Beethoven or countless others whose music has already lasted longer than the Doors -or ANY of the bands mentioned herein- will ever enjoy.
