Man having a hard time understanding how earning over $200,000 a year is too much to qualify for a decent stimulus check
Seriously?

"I’m having a hard time understanding how earning over $200,000 a year is too much to qualify for a decent stimulus check when you’re paying someone else’s income in federal taxes, and most people pay nothing after getting theirs back in earned-income tax credit, child-tax credits, etc. We have to pay for everything! I don’t feel that earning $200,000 a year should be too much to qualify under the CARES Act."

Some of the biggest welfare recipients are millionaires under the excuse of providing "jobs". Does not matter if the business is mostly automated or has zero workers.

They take that free money for themselves.

The person is wrong.
Taxes are socialized in this country.
They include taxes in the products and services they sell.

So a person earning $20,000 a year will see most of that money gone in paying taxes.

The slumlord he pays his rent to includes taxes in the cost of the rent.

The food and widgets he buys have the federal taxes of the producer included in the product.

If you are a wage earner, you should be paying 0 taxes because you are already paying everyone elses taxes and cannot pass it on to the next sucker.

Really? How much taxes does a person pay on products they buy?

How much tax is he paying on that rent?

Where I live taxes on purchases are from 0 - 13%.

So 13% = most?

The rich really have it made in this country.
They write off taxes to some "charity" they have connections with. They increase the cost of their widgets when taxs increase.

Oh you should see the scams the military uses to maximize pay and benefits for the officers . I've seen the officers Entitlement Corps (aka marines) on numerous occasions take benefits away from an entire unit of enlisted just to divert that funding to doubling up on officer entitlements.
I could go on and on and on with specific documented cases.

You are talking about the additional state and local taxes on top of socialized taxes.

As a business owner, lets say I owe an additional 1 million in taxes at the end of the year.

Im going to raise prices on the widgets I sell in order to pay for that and keep my 10% profit margin.

So a wage earner that buys that widget is paying his taxes.
The wage earner sees the increase cost but cannot have other people pay for it.

I can understand the frustration. The gov sucks 150k plus out of my ass every year and then distributes it to a bunch of low life non working welfare trash. Socialism at its best. Of course I want my share of the pie given back.

Look at Capital Gains taxes.
You can put in a few million dollars and sit back and earn money taxed at almost nothing.
