This is really fascinating.

I used to listen to hemi-sync material years ago. The 'morning exercise' is especially interesting and a great way to start the day.

They had metamusic that helped for delta, theta and active beta states. I never listened to much of the whole gateway series which had guided meditation on top of hemisync to access altertered states, out of body and other special abilities.

Now a days there are a ton of smart phone apps that use isochornic tones and binaural beats but I don't know if any of them are as researched as the Monroe Institute or focused on the academic persuit of this.

I also wonder about the risks of subliminals with this kind of technology.
