Questions on potential divorce, some of you have answers
Pretty sure I'll take some red for posting this thread but need help for supporting a situation I could never have imagined. In doing research it's obvious the liberal lawyers and judges have designed the divorce process. Have to prove one year of separation? FFS!

Let's say two people, married more than 5 years have a 2 year old kid and need to divorce. What are some of the things the male can do in preparation to avoid being raped by the system? If the woman is a drinker with anger management issues, will the man actually get full child custody?

What about the liquid assets which will be wasted quickly by the woman? What can be done?

1. Cancel all the credit cards or put limits on them. This prevents her from running up debt on you. Related, have a credit watch going.
2. Start taking out cash at ATMs 200 at a time at least weekly. Put the cash/crypto out of her reach.
3. If you're in a small town, interview the meanest and best divorce lawyers. This prevents her from using them due to them now having compromising details.
4. Pay cash for booze and beer and do not let her recycle cans.
5. Take photos around the house.

I'm sure there's more. Good luck.

A video of her drunk and raging will speak 10,000 words.

Set a inconspicuous cam feed to the cloud, capture multiple incidents. Make sure the cam is synced up to current time.

Lay down arms.

Put the child first.

Your child needs both parents to be happy and healthy, so go to therapy and help the mother get the help she needs to be sober and well for your child. This is the only way to approach such a situation, I was a child of such so I know.

I loved my mom, she was the best, but she had addiction issues and I suffered, but my dad did the right thing and we all helped her, and I was better for it. If I had not been able to be in her life, it would have been awful, and I totally forgive any and all that went wrong.

Put your petty differences aside, or you will be paying attorney fees forever that could and should go to your kids future and wellbeing.

Accept the relationship is over, there are no winners here, this is the death of a family and the child is the one who suffers forever from it, you two will move on to new relationships and be glad you did.

If you make peace now, you will give your kid the edge they need to be a child of divorce. If you make a war, your kid will be screwed for life.

You could get full custody of the kid, with visitation rights for her.

The assets default at 50/50.

If you get custody, and she is employed, you could get child care money from her.
