Australia military budget sharply increases, $270 billion

Australia has just unveiled their plans to spend $270 billion on significant military capability upgrades over the next decade, in order to prepare for a more dangerous world (with the rise of China, which has been recently conducting aggressive cyber attacks). Australia will be armed for the first time, with long range ballistic and anti-ship missiles, which will be bought from American companies. In addition to missiles, cyber capability and underwater surveillance will all be significantly bolstered.
