Getting out of CA immediately should be your #1 priority. They will not quarantine you along the way. Kentucky may recommend that you be quarantined for 14 days upon arrival, but most places are on the honor system. Your most important goal should be GTFO of CA!!!! |

User ID: 76388104 United States 07/01/2020 01:47 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | You'll be fine. My son-in-law just drove through five states to visit his mother. Kentucky was one state on the way. It was 22 hour drive each way. He stopped at a hotel to overnight once each way. So....he left to visit her on a Friday, and returned to his home last Saturday (five days ago). He had no problems. Just tired from driving. Last Edited by nutmeg on 07/01/2020 01:52 PM |

User ID: 76388104 United States 07/01/2020 06:35 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Thanks guys. We will be staying 3 nights in a hotel which is my biggest concern. Quoting: California Jessers They're open. I was following my son-in-law's trip and MANY hotels were open with restaurants nearby. He had no problem getting a hotel or food. When he put in a day's drive, and was ready to stop, he told my daughter where he was and she'd call a hotel and make reservations for him. Within a few minutes, he was checking into the hotel. I'm not sure how she did it, but I went onto google maps and followed his route. On the google map, enter your city/state starting point and city/state destination. Click on the car so they know you're driving. They will show your route. You can click on hotels and they all pop up along with restaurants nearby. So easy. Nobody gives a shit. Hotels need to make money. I got great deals. I waited until I got to a decent town and then googled hotels near me. They're competing like crazy! Only down side is, most wont have the continental breakfast. Some have a breakfast bag but its like warm yogurt and a cheap granola bar and warm juice. Plan on ordering or eating out. Seriously... Travel by car is good right now. Do not even stress about the signs on the road. Call ahead to some hotels along the way to see im telling the truth. |

My grandson drove from his college in Miami home to the northeast at the end of May or beginning of June. Thinking I would help him out, I googled his route. I clicked on hotels when I assumed he'd stop, and found a nice one in North Carolina. The desk clerk was so nice. She said, "Tell him we have plenty of room, and I'll even suggest where he can eat tonight. The restaurant is open till 10pm" She named the famous golfer who owned the restaurant. Now I forgot who it was. My grandson ended up staying in a house in NC owned by his friend's parents. lol Empty house. Neighbor had a key. |

However, in Delaware, i did read that you could be stopped if you were out of state. WEll, i stopped to put gas in Bj's, which happened to be in the city of wilmington...not really close to the highway, and there were two cops in that area and i was not stopped or anything....so drive and enjoy; just sucks that the food rest stops are no longer there, so plan your coffee breaks accordingly |

Quoting: ~Sloane~ I've been doing it before Covid, but I'd take disinfectant wipes or spray and go over the hotel rooms - door handles, remote, bathroom faucets, etc. I went some place a few weeks ago and took my own bedding. i traveled from Florida to Pittsburgh didnt do any of that . Is This The Real World Or Is It Just Fantasy. |

I used to cover 1000 miles a day on my own. Sure, had to leave the window open and the radio blasting to stay awake, but I lived. I don't know what lies they told you, but I can promise they were lies. There's a fine line between training, trauma, and torture. |

It's beautiful and primitive camping so cheap, and has magnificent rock formations. There an interesting on at Rim Rock because the Shawnee had an emcampment. Heck you can even park in the lot and stay for free in the backpacking area. |
