Johnny Mandel Effect?

I'm saddened to report that Johnny Mandel is no longer with us. But apparently not a CV-19 victim. More likely a victim of 94 years.

Johnny isn't really a household name, but everyone's heard the "Suicide is Painless" theme song from M*A*S*H. He wrote it. He won several Grammys, but the only other Mandel song that I can think of is "The Shadow of Your Smile", which was the theme song from a '60s movie called The Sandpiper.

I don't want to wish an early demise on Howie Mandel, but I won't be all that sad when I report his passing. Not that I'm THAT sad about Johnny.
