I ended up watching this live on the multi-camera protest stream.

Girlfriend and I first thought that he was holding her hostage because the rifle was pointed directly at her.

Only a minute or 2 later did we actually realize that she was a homeowner with him.

Imagine having a rifle like that and no base level of safety training...not real smart...

Tactically, there are limited times when one should leave a fortification to "sally out" to counterattack.

I'm not judging these Labor Democrats who wielded firearms. I say Labor Democrats as obviously they are conservatives who have given political donations to the Democrats but also to elect Trump. Historicaly they were often Labor Democrats (even Trump) but often labeled Reagan Democrats as they were conservatives who realized Reagan was their best option.

You "sally out" to attack,not to defend as a general rule. Most often, say in medieval times, one sallied out to ambush by a hidden tunnel and attack those encamped. Or sallied out a gate as cavalry to do a flank attack on the rear of the beseigers.

Your best defense is within unless arson is being employed ie in history the beseiged were "smoked out" by blocking chimneys or fire was started and the entrances were barred, thus staying was perilous.

State laws vary and matter about when the castle doctrine begins. In some states, ones who were severely threatened, but the perps have not entered the domicile, then cannotbe legally fired upon.

Now is the time to leave states that have poorly written firearm laws, andbe in rural areas of good states with resolute well written laws that are stictly constitutional.

I know this neighborhood. I've worked in a few of these homes. To say they are huge is an understatement.

Curiously they are located in an area close to the ghetto zone in StL.
