Quoting: Dace Got a call this morning from her nursing home, she’s stopped eating, drinking, talking and walking... they called in hospice and ordered her a ‘comfort kit’ to have on standby. Said she has full body muscle pain and she yells if touched anywhere. Said she has Covid. 8 workers tested positive and already had 7 patient deaths. She basically raised me and I can’t go see her. Gonna go get some beer. Fuck Sorry, man. Life really sucks sometimes. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 6249816 It's painful, like very achy. My Mom went through it to. Don't drink, you'll miss it when she comes to tell you goodbye. ^ this ^ I sat by my mom for 72 hours straight, never leaving her side. I grew so tired everyone told me to go home for a short nap. At home, I still couldn't sleep so at 2:30 am I'm standing alone in the backyard and felt a wave of sorts pass around me. I felt it was mom. No sooner had I stepped back through the patio door the hospice nurse called and informed me she was gone. I told the nurse about knowing it from the backyard incident and she told me that happens quite a lot. So yes, I too would advise not drinking or dulling you senses until your loved one has passed. |
