The Dallas City Council passed a resolution Wednesday morning to fly the pride flag at City Hall in place of the regular City of Dallas flag for the rest of the month.
The flag will fly every June in celebration of Pride month.
"The City Council believes it is important to communicate its support for diversity, inclusivity, equality and respect in our city during Pride month," City Council members said in a written statement.

Dallas County coronavirus hospitalizations on the rise; Tarrant County requires masks as it reports record 517 cases
Dallas County reported six COVID-19 deaths Thursday, while Tarrant County added three.
Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins said at a news conference that the fastest-growing group of COVID-19 patients are those 18 to 39 years old. More than half the county’s cases reported in June are among people in that age group.
