User ID: 49838646 United States 06/22/2020 07:00 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | FDA warns 9 brands of hand sanitizer may be toxic Quoting: Nine's The FDA is warning that the public should stop using 9 brands of hand sanitizer because the products may contain methanol, or wood alcohol. The FDA said Friday that consumers should stop using any hand sanitizer from Mexico-based manufacturer SA de CV, due to the potential presence of methanol, or wood alcohol, in its products. The FDA warned that methanol can be toxic when ingested or absorbed through the skin. "Therefore, FDA recommends consumers stop using these hand sanitizers and dispose of them immediately in appropriate hazardous waste containers. Do not flush or pour these products down the drain," the agency warned. The symptoms of substantial methanol exposure includes nausea, vomiting, headache, blurred vision, permanent blindness, seizures, coma, permanent damage to the nervous system or death. "Methanol is not an acceptable ingredient for hand sanitizers and should not be used due to its toxic effects," the agency warned. "Consumers who have been exposed to hand sanitizer containing methanol should seek immediate treatment, which is critical for potential reversal of toxic effects of methanol poisoning." The FDA listed the following products in its warning: - All-Clean Hand Sanitizer (NDC: 74589-002-01) - Esk Biochem Hand Sanitizer (NDC: 74589-007-01) - CleanCare NoGerm Advanced Hand Sanitizer 75% Alcohol (NDC: 74589-008-04) - Lavar 70 Gel Hand Sanitizer (NDC: 74589-006-01) - The Good Gel Antibacterial Gel Hand Sanitizer (NDC: 74589-010-10) - CleanCare NoGerm Advanced Hand Sanitizer 80% Alcohol (NDC: 74589-005-03) - CleanCare NoGerm Advanced Hand Sanitizer 75% Alcohol (NDC: 74589-009-01) - CleanCare NoGerm Advanced Hand Sanitizer 80% Alcohol (NDC: 74589-003-01) - Saniderm Advanced Hand Sanitizer (NDC: 74589-001-01) [link to www.foxnews.com (secure)] Ching chong my ding dong. |

User ID: 76715874 United States 06/22/2020 07:33 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Methanol is the precursor to most simple methylamines. You know, that stuff Walter “Heisenberg” White had to heist to make his famous blue meth. Quoting: Texas Best Just thought y’all would enjoy that offshoot of data. Technically, methylamine is a derivative of ammonia with a carbon atom swapped out for a methyl group. Industrially or commercially, it is manufactured by the reaction of ammonia with methanol in the presence of a catalyst. On a small scale, it can be made from the acid hydrolysis of hexamethylenetetramine. DOOM is what you make of it. |

Quoting: guitar ace take an ingredient, put it in a search and write the word "toxic" after it. sanitizer bad is ancient reporting and the FDA should have banned it generations ago. why are they recalling it now though? i'd like to think some white hat is responsible. The ingredient that scrapes the enamel off your teeth is called SAND... The fluoride eats it off slowly. I make My Own ToothPaste ... 3 ingredients ... hydrogen peroxide, aluminum free baking soda and peppermint oil ... been using it for about 6 years ... I can swallow it with ( No Worries ) ... And I don't use these hand sanitizers ... Last Edited by beenthruthat on 06/22/2020 08:00 PM People don't care how much You know ... till they know how much You care ... |

Knock-off's are incline to lie or just not list. Unfortunately there has never again been any Purell or GermX hand sanitizer in my area since the beginning of the virus back months ago. Also never has returned any Clorox Disinfecting Wipes. I hear they have this stuff in other places in TX but not in my area anywhere. I'd say isn't that bizarre as af but all it is, is more proof of the plandemic. No good reason for that disppearing more than a couple of weeks tops. Over three months now with everyone needing it. Seriously? |

But, as you all know ... we seriously NEED this virus-fear to keep spreading up until November... All of our political futures are wholly dependent upon the virus staying uppermost in the voters minds..thereby negating the traditional voting booths of the past; utilizing Mail-In Voting - exclusively - for this coming November..."" Quoting: Anonymous Coward 76386878 "With that in mind ... we can still augment and effectively utilize other strategies to ramp-up the requisite fear; such as getting all of our compliant sanitizer corporations to do a collective RECALL en masse. Which, of course, would facilitate a greater spreading of th virus, and - more importantly than that ecven - a GREATER FEAR of the virus killing the public. "And thereby gaining that all-critical public-support for mail-in-only balloting!" Any other effective strategies and ideas to push our goals will be gladly appreciated, as I can be reached via Twitter or my email or by cellphone..." |

There are so many posters, on both the previous page, and this page, that know the different alcohols and their purpose and toxicity. It's been so helpful and hats off to each of you! All your information is appreciated. There's a lot to be known about it. According to this link, ethanol/ ethyl alcohol are they type used for drinking alcohol. This link is the easiest to understand the differences without going into the chemical composition and structure. Hopefully if it's wrong, someone will point it out. I have enough stored still, but it’s disconcerting. My big bottles of hand sanitizer expire in December, so it had better get straightened out by then. I’ve never heard of any of those recalled brands. I wonder where they were sold? IDGAF |
