Physically, at least. “I went out yesterday just to go to the drug store,” she said Tuesday. But fear soon gripped her. “I looked behind me, and I hesitated, and I saw somebody and I waited for them to pass. So I cannot go out alone now.” She turned to her building superintendent in hopes of finding someone she could pay a few bucks to for accompanying her on walks while she shops. “The super said he’d try to find somebody,” she said. Fighting off tears, the elderly woman said the meaningless assault has completely changed her." I was writing my own post and did not see this one, so mine comes several more pages into this thread, but I was predicting exactly this. She basically lost everything after the action of that mindless group of cells attacked her, going from having an amazing life at her age and independence, to being afraid to go out. I am almost breathless with anger. Thank you for posting this, Ferly
