User ID: 76154099 United States 11/16/2021 07:05 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Does anyone have an example of one of these brick pillars? Quoting: Seabass69 I'm interested in how a part of the house just collapsed, assuming it was part of the house. the house at this incident was a 1918-1924 era brick house, high quality, most of the neighborhood is kept up, houses range from 500k-1mil. which doesnt sound expensive but is higher end where this is located. it was a brick pillar at the end of a brick wall, probably 12ft high. these would be brick walls and pillars that were up since the house build dates i mentioned. You'll never know where its at until you learn where its from. |

Quoting: SharkHorse I believe intelligence comes into play. Who's bright idea was it to attach to a brick pillar? I wouldn't have done that. Get a stand alone hammock, and those 2 girls are still alive today. Not everyone is a structural engineer, but you are right about the free standing hammock. Clearly our goal must be to eventually ban all hammock use, but in the meantime we must set up rules and regulations, lobby governments to implement codes and mandates around hammock usage in the interim (until we can ban them completely) and start the ball rolling on international standards for hammock manufacturers and distributors. Finally, and obviously the most urgent of issues, we must implement mandates that only the vaccinated be allowed to use hammocks, under strictly controlled conditions, to protect the population from unvaccinated hammock usage. It's for our own safety. The bigger the global population, the more solutions available to us all. |

I got on started relaxing he said can I come on too? He got on , down went the hammock on top on the left side of body. My hips been out since . Ban hammocks. Lol It surprising how popular they are, yet so many don’t know how to use them properly (not at all insulting your hubby). Even in the screenshot of the OP videos, you’re not supposed to lay with the curve of the hammock, you want to cock your body to the side a little bit and the hammock will lay flat. I’ve been backpacking with a hammock for 6 years now in summer time, and in early fall I even got an under quilt to attach to my ENO that when combined with my 0degree bag it’s gets hot sometimes. “When you’re dead you’re dead, but you’re not quite so dead if you contribute something” -John Dunsworth |

User ID: 80190065 United States 11/16/2021 11:01 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Structurally speaking, any vertical column is designed for downward pressure. Even the seemingly mild lateral pressure can lead to collapse, and are more susceptible the smaller the individual components are. Bricks are smaller than cinder blocks and it then takes a much smaller force to compromise the structure laterally. Tie point is critical in this senario. the mistake made was the hammock tied to the center of the brick column, it's weakest lateral point. If it would have been tied to the very top or even a 3rd down, it would have supported even greater weight. Here is an example. It seems very important to you and I'm sure you make every post with hopes of getting green, and check it every hour. The fact is, it's just a social credit score system. Much of it can be legit, but you can also get a lot of bad karma from trolls, who impersonate you and give people red "Karma" in your name. There's a lot of fuckery that can go on. So you really shouldn't be so obsessed with it and you really shouldn't judge people based on their green or red bars. It's very simple minded. SharkHorse Unjabbed Do Not Comply, Hold the Line |
